  1. Just tested mine, can export at standard res, can increase DPI, cannot increase image size-goes black, cannot export PNG burns out.
  2. I haven't tried on a walk through but have had some success placing "billboards" outskirts the windows and turning off the backdrop. Of course no backdrop works.
  3. Same here. I have annotation sets put together just to do assorted interior dimension both plan and elevation sets. Creating them takes some thought but work well, very fast.
  4. It has been fixed at least on mine. Still not as fast as X9 and nothing like my primary system but never expected that.
  5. There are known issues with X10 and Intel cards, more the newer ones. In any case they are working on it. In some cases using an older driver has helped. General recommendation is nVidia Gaming cards (GTX not Quadro) just the best you can afford.
  6. I'm a KD, dropped support for 2020 at V9, have not rarely used it since CA X7. I posted a quick video for pricing cabinets from CA into an online ordering system. For one brand I have that does not have online ordering I have a spreadsheet template I use and copy paste from the schedule into that. I use PDF catalogs (add my own bookmarks in Bluebeam) to look up pricing. Way back when I'd used a CA schedule to copy paste into an item list in 2020 Cheryl, also on this board, is a KD workingat HD. She redoes her jobs in Chief and then brings images and such back to work-even though she's working in 2020. She's recently posted that's she's become the leading sales in the REGION and claims it's because of Chief. For myself I've found that-Chief helps sell jobs, produces far better drawings=happier installers/contractors=more referrals=mo-money; has gotten me a better class of projects. There is a learning curve but far less frustrating than the things that happen with 2020 IMO.
  7. Intel just released a new driver-I'll try that over the weekend, will let you know. The difficult we do right away, the impossible takes a little longer-they'll get it.
  8. Updated the plan and images- much simpler to work with now.
  9. There is a handheld in the core catalog with a hose, another in the bonus -bathroom accessorie. If you need just the hose then place in a blank plan and use delete surface tool until you have just the hose then convert to a symbol. Alternative is to work from a polyline, get the shape you want, convert to a molding polyline, change the molding to a circle (you have to make this too and add to library) then convert to a symbol. Not exactly beginners work but then again all good exercises you can use in the future. Check the referance manual, help and videos -also some videos by Alaskan Son on the forum. Oh and it's a good idea to fill out your signature- include version of software and info about your computer system. Helps when you need help.
  10. Here are some I did a while back- one has a keystone. I made that a millwork symbol and then used it in the treatments tab, millwork applied above casing (some stuff is below too) Made up window, placed in library and used replace from all the same. I only had a few sizes, only one with the keystone so was very quick. Here's a plan with some of the windows in it, the symbols are placed on the floor. They are pretty quick to make but you can open the symbols to get an idea of stretch and origin offset. Two images from this plan file and one from the original. Just remembered that they had a weird wall definition for the facade so the offsets may not be correct. When working it out I just kept adjusting the symbol in the library and dragging it onto a window till it was correct. Then added that to the library. Assorted lintel windows.plan
  11. Hope reported it. For anyone who is about to send this in they asked me for the log and system info files. Instructions to get the log file and the System Information file Chief is already working on it but I would guess that more information might help.
  12. Someone asked about this so just to be clear, total cost to you from me is $1900. I pay the transfer fee to Chief, not you. Then if you want support you pay $495 to Chief for that.
  13. No it wouldn't, more likely reduce my credibility The HP serves the primary purpose I intended-2 in1, light, great battery life, runs X9 fine. It would be nice to fully use X10 on it, I believe that will happen eventually. I'm not using PBR live with clients even on the Sager since it's too erratic. So the HP gets used on the couch to make symbols and goes to meetings when I don't need (or want) to make any live changes. It's been a good tool promoting the drafting end of things as a tablet.
  14. 21.20.16.4590 which is in the zip file 154514.4590. Actually I bounce it back and forth. The old driver won't work with the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter (which I need to watch Golf while working Thanks for the suggestion about the machine but I'll be holding out, I bench a bit better than those and the CFO is still pissed at me for getting the HP. I'm currently lobbying for another monitor and not winning.
  15. I use that most often when close, which is where a lot of my work is. Just checked it on a full perspective overview with camera 60 feet away and it works there as well. I suspect it has to do with mouse settings/brand or something. I use a logitech M570 trackball, scrolling set to 3 lines with "enable smooth scrolling checked" Have a hunch that it may be the last one.
  16. For smaller zoom distance hold ctrl key while zooming with mouse.
  17. Just noticed that the cabinet is a little off to the left in the block, Unblock and ship reblock. Sorry about that. Updated with new improved version for anyone who cares. Easier to deal with than the original. Includes door symbols, undersink mat symbol and texture (Hafele), cabinet, an outline for correct plan view (almost), and countertop. Cabinet is on Layer Cabinets, Base 2 Outline of cabinet is on Cabinets, CAD Use the small "side panel inset" doors to set your reveal These currently are designated as the standard slab door The cabinet can be resized- range for theses is 39 to 45 Counter, undersink mat and cad outline will all need work if you change the size. Label will work though. The undersink mat does not resize correctly and currently doesn't go edge to edge (I'm not worrying about that now) Increasing the cabinet to 45 will leave a gap on the inside at the center. To fix you have to change the door symbols by pasting into a blank plan, adjusting and converting. For things to look correctly either block the corner cabinet or the adjacent cabinets must be blocked If not you get gaps-have no idea why Doors appear backwards until you place them in cabinet Chief is dyslexic. I run into one or two corner sinks a year and have always used recessed corner sink bases. (more functional, No client of mine has ever bumped there hips on the corners I don't care how clumsy) Anyway I've tried well over a dozen ways to create these-import dwg from 2020, p-solids, multiple variations of multiple cabinets....some completely failed, some worked but always had limitations. I've been down this rabbit hole too many times and just spent a silly amount of time there again but this time...thought of this and it got me up at 3am the other morning. After a bit of fussing, too much. I almost wasn't going to give this one away. Thought maybe I'd set up a paypal or a go fund me so I can get the Benq BL2420PT I've had my eye on (the CFO has been intractable on this but I'll eventually wear her down-I hope) Anyway here it is (that's right if I'm not getting paid at least I can amuse myself rambling) This is a single cabinet, it will appear correctly in the schedule, the colors will change with the material, the toe kick works correctly, nothing odd will appear in your sink -cabinet and cabinet door defaults. I added in an inset version which has some slight differences. There are some notes on the plan for use. New Recess corner sink 42.zip
  18. Nvidia GTX 10XX- depends on what you box and pocket can handle, and what you can find. Please file a report with support. You may also be able to roll back the driver. I have a very similar issue on my little HP but in X10. Found out that the current drivers are an issue and had to force install an older driver that is not meant for the card- see this thread.
  19. Looks like a GPU issue. Though I have not seen that in X9 only X10. I see that is in the cloud. Is it a raytrace or a simple render? what are you viewing it on? Do you have a dedicated GPU or just an Intel card? What make/model video card? what driver?
  20. Please indicate system specs and program version. Good idea to put into your signature makes it easier to help. Post a screen shot, there are a couple of variable issues that could be what you describe. Posting a plan along with it almost guarantees a good answer (close the plan before posting or it will be empty) So one issue si video card related, the other has to do with proximity of the light source to another object and the light properties. IF it's the second one a plan will help.
  21. Have you tried adjusting the sun location? Chop- I'd said It should still run with the minimum without having a major feature broken. Before I got the HP I talked with Graham who has had one for a while- it runs Grandview. I wouldn't want to do production on it but didn't expect it to. It ran X10 a tad slower than 9 and did PBR fine, until the public release. So I think they can fix this stuff.
  22. I have run into a different issue with my little HP that also only has an Intel card. Support is looking into it might want to send yours in too. BTW Chopsaw is mistaken about the system requirements- current are 4GB system and 1GB video card, still says it supports Intel cards but does recommending a dedicated GPU. I can't reproduce your issue. On mine the problem is more with PBR views but what is worth looking into. While trying to get what you are getting I did get a series of SEH errors in standard views but I had forgotten to switch my power setting to performance. What I found is that I only have the issue with current "correct" drivers for the card (dated from 11/17 onward). Graham has an older version of the same machine and discovered this an update to his driver. I've had to force install a driver from an older version of the card, one that supposedly does not support the hardware I have, to make everything work. So if you video driver is newer you might try a roll back to an older version and see if that helps.
  23. 1- that is the cursor that indicates you have off angle wall. Guessing you drew the off angle walls holding the ctrl key? Turn off angle snaps and you will get a different funny cursor that will go away if you turn on angle snaps again. 2-leave them all until you have all the off angle walls drawn. Then select "Ignore all.. 3- can't tell without the plan-post it-make sure it's closed first or nothing will post. I usually try to set the plan so that as many of the walls can be orthographic as possible while drawing it. After you draw the other off angle walls, with some luck some of those angles match and you can add the angle to the "General Plan Defaults", allowed angles. Images from the Help
  24. Graham reminded me-moving the sun and changing the angle- usually so that it streams through the offending window also solve the problem but not always the most accurate (like on the north side of house)
