Hey Steve, I've made some simple adjustments which will be very easy for you to follow. 1. This corner has multiple roof planes in the same location 2. All of these 9:12 roof returns are not accurately built This can be identified easily by zooming in really tight and by changing the Number Style to decimal inches. Copy the fascia elevation from the main roof plane and paste that to all roof return roof planes. Then, reconnect the hips of the roof returns. Lastly, cut, then paste-in-place one of the main roof planes. 20241101-1254-35.7749574.mp4

If you can post your plan file, some generous person will point out the exact problem and solution almost immediately!

Automate Elevation Plan Display Callout Label

For room / wall elevations, these can be automatically created in a logical order using the 'Create Room Elevation Views' tool. -
Automate Elevation Plan Display Callout Label

There is no way to auto-rename them. What I prefer to do in the instance you describe is to add the new elevation and name it E4.1...and so on. I simply don't have time to redo everything because of a single change and over the years I have learned to accept the function of the software rather to fight against it. Adaptation is key! -
You need to change the pitch for the wall directly adjacent to and perpendicular to the gable end.

@CharlesYou need to create a macro and enter the script. Go to Tools>Ruby Console>Tutorial>forward...to Topic 14

Glad to hear that! When you get the chance, it might be helpful to others if you mark that post as a solution.

You can easily add that as a Treatment > Exterior Millwork Above Casing. Create the symbol using a 3d solid or whatever tool works best for your style, convert it to millwork and add it to the library. Make sure you are using an Exterior Lintel (no profile, width = 0"), then add the treatment and adjust the width as needed.

A simple way is to draw a grid of terrain paths / curbs / sidewalks in both directions that are quite skinny. You can draw one, then replicate it every 10' (or whatever works for you), then select them all and copy / rotate them 90 degrees.

Hey Rob, if you can post or PM a link to your plan, I'll get back to you shortly.

No insertion point for an arch. block. I'd suggest saving the block for future editing, but also converting to a fixture. Set the height reference 'From Roof', about -7" to top. Then, it'll be pretty quick to place in roof peaks.

It's quite likely that if you post your Chief plan file, someone will probably fix the roofs for you! It's a very simple roof plan so it wouldn't take that long.

Elevation Callouts Delete When Elevation Tab Closed
robdyck replied to Racergirl731's topic in General Q & A
Another approach to this is to use the 'Create Room Elevation Views' tool. Then delete any unwanted elevation views from that room. All the views will be named and numbered logically and automatically saved. Single click on the room and then select this tool from the bottom toolbar: -
A bit further to this topic; (Rendering Technique is Standard with line displayed) If the default sun is set to follow the camera, it'll appear more or less as shown in the OP. The size of the 'flare' of the sunlight is in direct correlation to the roughness of the material. Turning off the sunlight and increasing the nighttime ambient light works and will provide essentially the same result as moving the sun out of the view. Moving the sun out of the view is as simple as dragging either one of the direction sliders for the sunlight until it no longer displays. At that point, it may then be worthwhile to increase the daytime ambient lighting to light up the view. 20241015-2215-28.2839051.mp4

Have you tried adjusting the direction of the sun?

I really like it, but I wouldn't complain about being able to toggle it off.

Adding Chief to their list was my request with the hope that if you select that option, it would filter some of the maps that don't apply, but I think all it does is give them data.

I'm not sure if you know this but you can also create a tool to place the filler from your library. Start by adding this 'Place Library Object' tool to a toolbar. Then click that tool and follow the obvious steps.
-
Another suggestion would be to edit the properties of a base filler (label and schedule) and add it to your library. Then use this library item instead of the filler tool.
-
I'd suggest editing what is contained in the schedule and then saving that schedule for future use.
