  1. The other issue is you didn't set the height of the pony wall properly. You were seeing the results of not correctly adjusting your settings.
  2. This is what I have as soon as I open the plan. What is the problem?
  3. Unless you are asking for a specific reason, the out of the box Chief symbols are all I have used since v.9.5...not X9, version 9. They print just fine at 1/4" scale.
  4. I have Anno Sets for these. For instance, for interior cabinet elevations I take the camera shot, choose my 1/2" scale interior elevation anno set and save the view. For building sections I have another anno set for that, and one for exterior elevations. Two clicks and done.
  5. For all their 3050 windows, place an A (AA being a twin 3050) and so on and so forth. So, when you open the window DBX, go to the label tab and replace what ever is in there with the corresponding letter.
  6. You will find that there are many different solutions for things like this, but before jumping on here, try using chief EXACTLY like you would build it. You build a wall with stone veneer, frame and hole in it, and place the appliance. It's that simple with most things.
  7. FYI...the 10" sub-fascia is what pushes the soffit down to where you need it. From here, you can easily CAD the rest of it.
  8. Yea, I understood. I checked and that method does work now, in older versions it would kick you out of Auto Foundation. The foundation created matches the properties of the entire foundation though, which means for all the basements I do, I would still have to go back in the end of the layout process and fix the porch foundations.
  9. But that will disable Auto Foundation, and I leave it on until wayyyy into my layout process. I generally leave the porch foundation alone and ignore that fact that they wont build until I am ready to deal with them.
  10. For some odd reason, when using raised foundations, Chief will not build a foundation under porches. You have to put them in manually.
  11. Go to the lower floor and click on a roof plane. Look for this button... That will move the roof planes up or down, depending on where you want them. I use shading to signify the roof planes that rest on the upper floor plate, and clear that rest on the lower floor plate.
  12. Click that button that says SPECIFY LABEL and put what ever you need in there. Un-check suppress label so that it will show on the plans
  13. Make sure all the FASCIA TOP setting are the same for all roof planes.
  14. Copy the plan window. You need 2 different windows set to 2 different scales. Send to layout twice if need be.
  15. Why are you not contacting the original designer?
  16. Nope. Unless you are state licensed as an architect or structural engineer, you have no "stamping" privileges. However...there are a number of jurisdictions, including HUD I think, that recognize the CPBD designation you can obtaining via the AIBD and NCBDC.
  17. I believe you will need to add those custom fields and input the info when you place the cabinets.
  18. I would start here... so that you can do windows that are the same size all at once. If you have a few different sizes, you may have to choose those all together by size. For example..the window I show as selected I can choose to find all that match the width and height, and I usually add layer as well, and I can change all those ROs at the same time.
  19. Look at the 3D objects first. Many of the items from Google Wearhouse, for instance, can have a really high face count which is taxing on the system.
  20. If you already have notes you want to keep on the current foundation, hold shift and select them all (there is a tool for this as well) now you can copy them. Once you build the new foundation, or auto build it, you can paste in place all the notes and such you copied.
