  1. I have seen the problem..... I think that was a post that I blew up on and said a bunch of nasty words. I had quoted somebody, changed my mind, could not get rid of posted text, I got mad, I quit CT, reopened, same problem, said a few more nasty words, and somehow figured out to get my point across. Yes, Larry, I have experienced your problem.
  2. Here it is again sans floor joists. Again, the walls with a finish on them are not on their native WALLS NORMAL LAYER, the second pic is where I put them back on their native layer. Not sure if I like this behavior.
  3. I am not sure if I helped or if I muddied up the situation.
  4. I apologize, you are correct, I should of said ORTHOGRAPHIC FLOOR OVERVIEW, not the FLOOR CAMERA, my bad...... I use hot keys so much, I forget what the different titles are. If you can not get it to work, let me know and I will do a quick video showing what I do. Easy Peasy. BTW, I like the way you are using different colors for the stud walls, nice. Here is a pic of what I am talking about...... however, if you look closely, some of my wall still have a finish on them...... and some do not....... hmmmmm... I wonder why.... look at the third pic, you can now see the studs t back wall.... I put this wall back on the DEFAULT WALL LAYER and suddenly the studs show up.... interesting . Point is I took a ORTHOGRAPHIC FLOOR OVERVIEW and then changed layers.
  5. If I am not to getting my releases mixed up, I think you will be very happy with a few other features. And to let the cat out of the bag, there are two independent macros by users who I am finding invaluable, especially for power users.
  6. Looks great. BTW, for that view, I take a floor camera shot AND THEN SWITCH TO FRAMING LAYER. I take that shot all the time . Never had to create new layers, I just had to make sure correct layers were on.
  7. The Alaskan comes up with another great answer. I am not sure if this is very important. What would you want the default material to be? When I create a psolid, there are any number of materials I might want to use. I say it ain't worth wasting any time on..... whatever your default material will be, 90% of time I bet you will change it.
  8. I have not tried rebooting, but I too have experienced coping something from one plan and trying to paste in another plan and it not working. I am not sure if it is a MAC issue, or a CA issue, or a DSH issue.
  9. Either make your stairs narrower or the stair opening wider.
  10. Here is a vid Rob might want to watch
  11. This is the solution. Almost painless...... easy peasy.
  12. Not that I remember. I thought there were some "shadow people" in the library.
  13. Where would I find people figures in library, thanks
  14. I concur, but that darn Alaskan Guy comes up with some pretty good stuff...... I had to give him another point.
  15. I always appreciate when someone points out a weakness in the program so we can make a more informed decision.
  16. How can I say this? This stuff is awesome. I have been asking for this for years. I thought the way to get it was to get POLYLINE LABELS. Well, I got the labels, but that was it. It was "That Alaskan Guy" who put this crap together to make my job so much easier. Things are getting so complicated now. We need area analysis of new areas, existing areas, lot areas, floor area ratios, coverage analysis, existing impervious areas, percentage of impervious areas, new impervious areas, percentage of new impervious areas, percentage of total impervious areas, percentage of my body fat before thanksgiving and percentage of my body fat after Thanksgiving......... you get the point....... Michael The Alaskan Son has figured out how to generate the macros that are needed. This stuff is almost as good as the MRLS, the Anno Sets and the new administration (The "Lynn Administration") . Thank You Michael.
  17. My thoughts exactly, I cannot seem to find the "ribbon" that Glenn is referring to. IOW, how do I set it up to see latest unread post at top of thread? It's always a chore to figure out how these new formats work best.
  18. They railings should be defined as "PANELS".
  19. What size do you want the text size to be for the 24x36 paper and what size do you want the text size for the 11x17 paper to be?
  20. Yes, put in a floor (defined as open to below) where you want the break in the balloon frame wall.....
  21. Okay, I should of known that.... I never never never use the FLOOR CAMERA, I never got in the habit of using the FLOOR CAMERA........ why would you ever use the FLOOR CAMERA? Do you find any advantage of using a FLOOR CAMERA vs a FLOOR OVERVIEW CAMERA? I think I get the same info from a FLOOR OVERVIEW CAMERA instead of using the FLOOR CAMERA. I think the main difference is with the FLOOR CAMERA is you do not get upper and lower floors whereas with the FLOOR OVERVIEW CAMERA, you will always get the floor the view was taken from and any floors below. I use the hot keys and I never set up a hot key for the FLOOR CAMERA so I never use it. Thanks for the question, it got me thinking.
  22. That is the way I do it every day, very few issues. However, for some reason you threw a kink it the methodology and now I am struggling to do what you would like to do...... and the problem with Glenn's method is that the top of the EXTENDED footing is level with the top of slab and of course I would like to control the top of the extended footing to say...... 12" below top of slab. I wish I could replicate Glenn's model.
