  1. I best this is similar to a scissor truss config., which never behaves well..... Eric's wall with shaped doorway would be my guess for best solution but not sure...
  2. I think I would charge even more than A LOT. I would double A LOT and then add an aggravation tax on top of that..... with all due respect.
  3. I am not sure if it is necessary to send as an image. This was in a post several weeks ago...... essentially the view of the wall remains static after sent to layout. So send to layout showing top wall and then send to layout showing bottom wall and it should stick. Does anybody else remember this. No time to check right now.
  4. Yeah, but there are plenty of folks who put their walkout basements on level zero, and I would guess they would want the area..... I tried turning her rooms into heated spaces and I did not see the LIVING AREA TOTAL...... there must be so mean out there smarter than us who can give us the answer.... I am now curious.
  5. I know zilch about the living area.... (can I say it again? I find it useless to me)..... but for your case, maybe all of the rooms at the level zero are UNCONDITIONED therefore CA does not figure area?
  6. HIt F8....... your color is off
  7. try putting a fence that looks like a railing on some sloping terrain and then export as a symbol.
  8. Lots of ways to make a pool..... I like Tommy's down and dirty method.

  11. About a week ago I discovered the 360 pano and it was awesome. Now..... not so good, portrait mode good, landscape bad. spoke with Nigel and he said the pano not supported on mobile devices. I have not followed up yet and I am confused as to the point of the 360 now. He suggested I use the cli3nt viewer. I’m confused.
  12. I use Michael’s macros and they are simple easy Peasy to use. I am not even sure they are “his” macros anymore. I used his simple approach to get areas. FARs , coverages, attic areas and required number of vents etc. Part of my method involves a macro naming system that is easy enough to remember. I have been asking for this for 15 years and finally Michael was able to help me out. I have said from from day one that CA”s living area is essentially useless for me.
  13. This makes perfect sense, you are looking at walls and you want to see the floor load from above to understand the loads on the headers of the openings. It is all about easily understand loads from above., Discussion over.... let's watch golf.
  14. I suggest deciding which house has floor 1 at 0.0. Then adjust the terrain for that building. For the second building you have to change floor by floor RELATIVE to the 1st house.
  15. If we are lucky the vid will be here when done cooking. .

  19. Same problem. See the two attached images. Arrow on CA app. the arrow is small. Arrow on another app. the arrow is big. (arrow in bottom left corner.)
  20. Yeah, thanks Eric, I have beens through that... it increases the size of the MAC arrow but when I go into CA the arrow is microscopic... so I think it it a CA thing. Maybe I can run this by a few folks in our PBR workshop tomorrow.......
  21. Hey guys, How do I make selection arrow bigger? How would I attach a custom arrow head selector? thanks for the help.
