No, but what I have is an achy body after 2 days of snow boarding. And I have another day to go. I don't ever remember being this sore after boarding. And now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Bill just gave you the best advice. Why? Because posting a question on this site ilicits multiple answers, and one is usually the best one for your situation. See the "NICHE" threads.

That is probably an option in prefs you have not set.

I think you will find that if stud layer is on, you see studs, if you turn stud layer off, you will get the ply shthg look.

Really great stuff Joe, thanks.

Joe, how about a quick vid. I am confused.

So funny, I looked for that at 2:45 this morning and did not see it. Maybe I was still asleep. Leaving now for 3 days of skiing with number 1 son.

Joe, what am I missing? How do I make the hole? How do I make a hole in a material region?

Please post a pic, I think you are missing the point that we want a niche. I think you will find your method leaves drywall in place that will HIDE the niche.

NIc, you just have to post pics and plans to get good answers.

Nice job Rob. However I wonder if you could use moldings for the rope tiles and areas if there was a field of tile. If there were special tiles I do understand why you would need a single PSOLID for each tile. I can understand how valuable what you are doing to avoid any confusion between owner and contractor. Thanks for sharing.

Todd, if you watch this vid, and give all of your framing members a different color, I will see if I can help out here. I tried to do it but I don't have the time to get the framing members colored. Coloring all framing members is very helpful in understanding what is going on.

CA has finally figured it out, use same tool for many different purposes but give it a unique name and it is no longer a work around. Brilliant. BTW Graham, nice catch, and some nice input coming from you, thanks.

Hello, anybody there, isn't there already a thread discussing this? https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/4038-glass-shower-walls/ Is there a perfect solution yet? I don't think so.

Well, that goes without saying. What I do think is important is to explain why one thinks a particular approach is better than another. To say, "I like my approach better" is useless dribble. There are a many ways to accomplish a task, but for pete's sake, let's talk about advantages and disadvantages of each approach. And as far as the competitive nature goes, are you kidding? Getting rid of the competitive nature is what it is all about, it is the competitive nature that drives us to come up with better solutions. Let's check our feelings and our egos at the door and teach each other and learn from each other so we as a group will become more successful in our businesses. Eliminate the competitive nature? Let's just hand out a bunch of first place trophies.

Nope, in fact I do not remember my last crash.

Well, now I am confused. There is a toggle button to toggle shelves on and off? Why would anybody want that. Either they are there or they are not. And if they are there, why would anybody want them so deep that they pop through the from cabinet door. I must be missing something.

GD/DG/Gavin mi amigo, select cabinet, open dbx FRONT<SHELVES SPECIFY<DEPTH SPECIFY change depth by about a 1/2" and all will be well.

Yeah Lew, where is he? That old war bird should be back on line in the next day or two Giving us some good advice like, "contact Tech, they are open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm pst" Come on Lew, where are you?

I bet that if you had known what you were doing in the first place it would of been easy peasy...... relatively speaking....... Here is a vid if interested

For the fun of it, I tried to lay it out. I agree, something is amiss. P. probably nailed the problem, the surveyor made a mistake.

I am loving the new framing labels for posts and beams. They did not go far enough in regards to auto labels for HEADERS. Anyway, I just noticed that if you put in a new beam drawing left to right, the label will be on top and if you draw new beam from right to left the label will be on bottom.... or vice versa depending on your defaults. Pretty cool option.
