  1. I attended the Intermediate training in Las Vegas last year and was taught to create shower walls using railings. If I wanted the lower half a tile pony wall and the upper half glass, I just select pony wall, lower Interior-4 and upper Glass Shower then apply tile as a wall covering to the lower wall half. This works great except I can't figure out how to make the wood framing inside the pony wall be anything but wood. In this case, I want the pony wall to be all tile, including the top and sides. The upper wall that's not glass (see small non-painted drywall strip between the blue vanity wall and shower wall) won't paint either. I know there are a million ways to create shower walls in CA, just looking for your experience on the most user friendly.
  2. Ah, that could be it Perry. I'll ask support. Thank you all for your help!
  3. Dennis, it's not in mine. Anywhere else I may be able to get to it other than Build - Wall?
  4. I wasn't sure what you all meant by Material Regions so the knowledge base pulled up this: http://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02929/ I created a new shower on my plan and modified the layers in Material Layers Definition. When I opened an elevation and tried (step 2) to Build - Wall - Wall Material Region, there is no Wall Material Region in the drop down menu. I'm feeling not very bright and very confused but I sure appreciate all your help!
  5. Help! I am a mediocre CA user (beta X7) that knows just enough to get herself into trouble. When I design shower walls, they always turn the wall color or tile material, depending on what I use. There is some back and forth on this chain on how to avoid it but I'm not sure I fully understand anyone's answer. I also am having lots of trouble with detailed tile on shower walls. I can add two tiles by using the pony wall/upper and lower wall specifications, but I can't figure out how to have more than 2 tiles. Can someone help? Backup plan.zip
