  1. Anybody who is using their 99th language to teach CA, must be applauded. Yusuf, you are an asset to this forum...you come up with some neat stuff thinking outside of the box. Please keep up the good work. Thank You.
  2. I assume you can see the subscripts on the dimension string to identify to which part of the string you want to add text. But to answer your question, segments 1&2 will be the first segment you create, go left to right, it is the first on left, go right to left, it is first on right. Thanks for the question, it made me test this out... not sure if it can be any easier.
  3. However, it looks like it messed up the other end..... I am getting so tired of this crap.... come on CA, please fix this stuff......
  4. BTW, you must be wearing the correct shoes when you click your heals twice. IOW, no guarantees.
  5. I can't explain why, but it looks good to me now. I selected the foundation wall between the house and the garage and by clicking my heals twice, it is fixed.
  6. I think if you go to the rooms at the second floor and DEFAULT THE CEILING HEIGHTS, this should fix all. I rarely rarely rarely change the ceiling heights from the default heights. Maybe you do this to do the auto rebuild roofs, I do not auto build roofs. Point is, I rarely see this problem, maybe because I leave the default ceiling heights in place.
  7. Your stairs would not meet code in our area. You must be aware of codes. Where I live, triangle stairs do not meet code, minimum 6" at an edge and a minimum of 10" at walk line which is 12" away.
  8. I have not seen this either. Another way to fix it is to open the open to below area and DELETE THE PLY AND THE FLOOR JOISTS, it is now fixed. Now reopen the OPEN TO ROOM BELOW AREA , and default the floor structure, (plywood and floor joists come back but since it is open to below, there is still no floor), and it is still fixed. I can't explain it either.
  9. Have you tried it? If you have tried it, did it work? If it did work, would you mind posting an example? Thanks.
  10. I have a feeling this will be the best ever.
  11. This is so funny. I was thinking of posting this question myself. My question, which I think is similar to yours, How do we control the absolute top of the wall above floor level and how do we provide a footing under the wall with a defined elevation ...... all on a sloped lot.
  12. Wendy, I have a sneaky feeling Janice is a figment of our.........
  13. Until just recently I ALWAYS used a molding to create my backsplashes. I did this for several reasons. 1. for the exact reason you just cited 2. because I could then select several different materials for the backsplash. using a molding pline is easy peasy......
  14. Thanks Michael, I had to put some text in the body of the poll which I failed to do the first time.
  15. This is what i have so far, I would now press FINISHED, and then what?
  16. i am trying to set up a poll. I started a new thread, I created the poll, I checked finished when I completed setting up poll....... but now how do I attach the darn thing to my post? I have done it before, but either they changed things or i can't find the magic button, any ideas?
  17. Yep, no mystery here, I have used the mask since the turn of the century, works great.
  18. IOW, the gable end fascia will not be any lower than eave fascia..... if you want a deeper gable end fascia and still maintain a 1/16x1/16 eave fascia, use the GABLE END SUBFASCIA, in lieu of a GABLE END FASCIA.... I don't get it, but that is how it works.
  19. i now have what you have, I used a 1/16" x 1/16"gable end fascia. Change your gable end fascia size.
