  1. I tried this on more than one occasion and it kept reverting to a thick wall. Apparently you were able to do it.
  2. This was tricky. I cannot explain why. Twice it did not behave as expected. However here is a vid showing how I got it to work. https://youtu.be/8i4DsPz3jMM
  3. Need quick answer, how do I download all manufacturer catalogs.... in one click... thanks the how do I download bonus catalogs in one click, thanks
  4. Good stuff...... Do you miss practicing doctor hood or are you having too much fun? Remember when you changed careers?
  5. Try using these key words.... "mrls videos by dsh" You should now find it if interested.
  6. I did a series of videos on ref sets, if interested, do a search for the MRLS, do a MRLS search, some videos might come up. They are probably 5 years old now, but they might give you some insight on how to use ref sets. And then you can always view CA's ref set videos. You are on the right track, the ref sets are so so very important and powerful, you must take some time to study them and think of how you can use them. They aren't perfect yet, CA did a huge improvement to them in X3, we are now lobbying CA to improve them by improving the MRLS to the MMRLS.......
  7. Thanks Glenn, I spoke to Jessica who spoke to Brian and he fixed it post haste. Perfect, thank you.
  8. DJP, if you learned that from the manual, you might want to consider tossing the manual.
  9. IOW, A room with a 20' ceiling will have the walls drawn on level 1 and level 2.
  10. Larry gave you the answer..... I have been doing it that way before Alaska was awarded statehood.
  11. Get the heck out of here! I'm on the iPad and can't see the vid, I will check it out in the am, if this works, it couldn't get any better, thx.
  12. I sent it into Brian Beck, this is his response... "Thanks Scott, I have logged this request in our database." Those guys up there don't show me any love.....soooooooooo.......tonight I am going to call Jessica Beck (Brian's Boss), I will have a word with her, she will then talk to Brian tomorrow morning over eggs and bacon, and Brian will have it fixed by Monday morning. Glenn, I get your method, I get the other methods, but a quick hot key, a tab, two inputs and I am done..... now that is easy peasy.
  13. Several? I think you took about 13 tee shots and missed the island every time.
  14. Yep, I can see my vids, I can usually see yours. Don't know why this is different.
  15. oops, here is another https://youtu.be/AILfBTfZIG4
  16. I get 5 seconds into video and it stops. I am on a MAC.... that might be the issue.
  17. That is what I do. But if tab and I move it 12" left and 12" up, the radius is 3'-5", I would of thought it would be 12".
  18. It might be what I am looking for but the vid does not work.
  19. Thanks Joe, I get it now, again, I like using the tab tool to input the dimension... quicker for me.... remember I am the hot key king..... I can never find the stupid icons.
  20. Thanks Kevin, that helped. Yes I can do it that way. However I do prefer to set distance with the tab key.... but your method ain't half bad. BTW, if you spent less money buying golf balls for nit wits like me, you could invest the money in a video system with sound. Thx again.
  21. You have just drawn a rectangle. You want to fillet a corner, you activate the fillet tool, you start moving the corner in..... you hit the tab key because you want input the start of the beginning of the curve 12" from corner..... how do you do this? This is the dumbest most unintuitive method of defining the start of the curve for a fillet. CA, can't you re design the tab inputs? Seriously, I want to start the curve/fillet 12" from the corner, why can't I use the tab/input keys? Try it guys, it is dumb and useless, CA please fix this. I sent this into Brian as a request.
  22. If you learn to use ref sets, you can put grid lines on one level and they will show up on another level if you understand ref sets.
  23. Hey, I know I forgot some folks, sorry, too many helpers to keep track of. I would of included A.L. in the list, but he is only good for comedy relief.
