  1. Are you watching online or downloading and watching. If you are online you may want to try a different browser. Chrome seems to work fine. Maybe post the link to one of the specific video's you are having a problem with and let us know what browser you are using.
  2. DBX is Dialogue Box. However I see you are using X10 and there is a new tool in X10. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/19583-terrain-wont-show-up-under-cantilever/?do=findComment&comment=160456
  3. Fletcher, I assume you are not using X10. But when you are able to upgrade there is an automatic new feature that allows editing of the terrain hole around buildings. From X10 help: If you prefer to manually control the holes around structures, select the Terrain Perimeter and click the Make Terrain Hole(s) Around Building(s) edit button.
  4. If you are using X10 you can edit an automatically generated terrain hole.
  5. looks like you have a lot going on in a small space, would likely need to take a look at the plan file to figure it out. Or you could just try taking away some of the nearby features one at a time to see what is causing it. You would know best how it was built.
  6. Never really noticed that before but I just tried imputing a ridiculously long room name in a small room and chief made no attempt to keep the label within the room. So it maybe should be something they could look at improving.
  7. One thing that can cause that problem is if the drywall has been moved to the main layer of the wall definition.
  8. Here is a thread where Scott posted a video : https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/17201-apply-new-layout-sheet/?tab=comments#comment-144409
  9. Or you can being in E on a new Annoset and have both and just turn them on and off. Joe seems to have it working but mine still has a few bugs.
  10. Yes no problem. Just change your paper size on the D layout and copy over page 0 and whatever else you might need from your E layout then just rescale and adjust as required for the larger paper.
  11. Not sure you can access someone else's support page but it did give the case number. Case 79554 not found The case you requested could not be found.
  12. Yes I think that would be standard operating procedure for most users. It is possible that those tools are causing corruption as I have been experiencing items staying highlighted after using those tools. Did you find one in Robert's file other than the one he pointed out ?
  13. Eric, are you saying that somehow the symbol offset became corrupted as it was being copied / distributed about the plan ? The one in my library seems fine.
  14. Yes there seems to be an unaddressed issue with 2D Cad Blocks when an x or y origin offset is used with the symbol. Maybe one of the symbol guru's could comment as I am not sure that we should need to monkey around with the cad block for a situation like this. However in this particular situation it does not seem to be necessary to use the offset when the columns are manually placed. ?
  15. Bring it in as a Material and you can apply to anything. If scale is not important make it stretch to fit or if it is make your picture frame the correct size or at least the correct ratio. There are some picture frames in the library that are ready to go or make your own.
  16. Not even sure I want to know how you managed to do that but it appears that somehow the porch roof overhangs were allowed to be drawn back behind their baselines and it caused accessory walls to automatically appear. I just did a little trauma surgery and roughly put things back together but you may need to still do some tidying up. Plot3V15 Chopped.plan
  17. CTRL + A then CTRL + C in plan B then CTRL + ALT + V in plan A
  18. I get the same but would love to know what is going on. Will look into it further if I can.
  19. Justin, I thought I had experienced that sort of problem before and managed to resolve it but could not reproduce the failure in a test plan. Would you mind copying that into a test plan and posting it if you have a moment.
  20. Is there a default line weight for Hatch Patterns ? I can't believe everyone sets this for every fill pattern. Chief seems to understand that a default of 0 or 1 is not going to work for a lot of situations.
  21. This is what I see by removing the 1 13/16" offsets and carefully positioning at the corner because it is just off by a smidge to snap correctly.
  22. Ok, I guess I am still better at building log homes than figuring out the intricacies of chief symbols. It seems ok without the offsets. There is a slight measurement discrepancy somewhere as point to point does not quite place it in the exact position when referenced off of the inside corner of the outside wall layer. What was the logic in moving the point of origin ?
  23. Yes - Millwork Same as balusters : https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02893/creating-custom-balusters-and-railing-panels.html
  24. First off. Are you using X10 ? Just a quick preliminary guess that you need to open the Symbol Specification DBX ( Dialogue Box ) and go to the 2D Block tab and use the "Generate Block" button after you are finished resizing things. Will take a look at the library file if that does not work for you.
