  1. Yes you will find it in the help file under "Place Library Object Button"
  2. They should match the Auto frame condition and if you edit the framing the polyline can also be edited by unlocking it's layer.
  3. No need to delete, as this information you have posted because of your struggle is valuable to the development of the software and anyone else that may have this issue before chief finds a solution to the problem. Thanks for posting. Also if you run into this again feel free to send the image file to tech support so they can test and verify the issue.
  4. Could be an issue with the B drive. Maybe reset to C and see what happens. Don't think that would hurt anything but this is likely something tech should be contacted on.
  5. Slip a truss base in under the overhang and you have what you are showing automatically.
  6. I guess you never have to worry about snow load but you can edit in the truss detail and beef up the overhang and then all 17 will be done at once.
  7. I am hoping that a workaround like Joe is suggesting is not really necessary as something like this should work. It seems that there are roof trusses in that attached plan file. What exactly is the part that does not build properly? If is just the part you circled in red that is not properly trimming to the soffit then I think that is just a matter of manually adjusting the truss envelope one way or another and sending in a bug report. Let me know and maybe I can help. If the engineer says it can be done then you should be able to draw it with Chief.
  8. Sounds like a graphics card or driver issue. You might want to post what software version you are using and some of your critical computer specifications and someone may be able to help. Also the error message may be helpful to us or tech support.
  9. Try the cad block settings as AutoCad guys seem to cad block everything for some reason.
  10. No that is not yet possible. Give it a try with a Straight railing set to "Follow Stairs".
  11. Connect to platform railing for post and adjust with doorway opening size.
  12. Could possibly be hung up on reading the Recent Files list. If there is any possibility of corruption there, you could try moving the files you know would be on that list to a different folder as a test.
  13. Yes ok the little blue circle does not capture with the screen shot. Maybe log out and back in again from your digital locker. Something is messed up, hope you can sort it out before tech opens in the morning.
  14. Interesting. Will the blank Startup Options window close? I wonder if maybe you are having internet connection issues.
  15. Is this the one Mark ? A few different techniques discussed here.
  16. In X9 that is in General Camera Defaults.
  17. Thanks Joe, That is a time saver for sure. Great for job specific items.
  18. You will need to recreate the symbol and change the symbol category which is different than the layer unfortunately. However once this is done you can save it to your user library for future use.
  19. How about a watercolor or standard view elevation for that wall since it looks like you have the texture figured out. Then at least the note would make sense.
  20. You will need to use the panel option on a manual railing set to follow stairs if you are using X8
  21. Yes please do send this one in. It will benefit all and you just need to reference the forum link and it is done.
  22. Not quite sure what happened and you may want to check with tech support but it appears the elevation for the left side of the galley has been lost or not properly saved. Your numbering sequence is missing #10 and #13. I have never had a camera flip and there is no way to rotate a set camera that I am aware of, but anything is possible. A camera can be shifted, it appears that is not likely what happened. You may need to open a new camera and re dimension and notate.
  23. Chief does not seem to want to trim I Joists which is understandable but I am surprised it is actually programmed that way based on how other features work. The bigger mystery is why will the roof not frame all the way to what would be the top if it had pitch ? Interesting though that when each building is a different size the rafters seem to have a maximum length that is the same. This can be duplicated in a test plan but does not seem to be consistent other than the length gets shorter as the pitch is reduced, hummm..... maybe chief is calculating spans now.
