  1. Mark, string_value.gsub("0.",",") for the 1st one string_value.gsub("0.","") for the 2nd one The gsub method just substitutes characters within a string
  2. Bob, In the Plan View, just create a line that follows the front and side of the cabinets needing the returns. Change that line to a Molding Polyline, add the Crown Molding Profile and set the Height of the Molding. You might need to check or uncheck "Extrude Inside Polyline" depending on the direction you drew the line.
  3. Dan, The reason the Post # is handy: When answering a question, it's nice if we can refer to a previous post in the thread. IOW, if something was said in Post #6 we can refer to that without having to restate it.
  4. Dan, There are a couple of things we evidently lost: Number of downloads of attachments Post # within a Thread Is there any chance of getting those back?
  5. Gene, I lobbied for that capability for a long time. I think we got it in X6 or X7 so it's not a capability that I'm likely to forget
  6. Change the size in the Rails Tab "Beam" of the Railing Wall
  7. I used a single layer wall type.
  8. There are options for squiggle in the Line Drawing Mode and in the Water Color with Line Drawing on Top Mode.
  9. You need to specify it as a "Cabinet Door/Drawer". See pic.
  10. Obviously. When you created the symbol - did you specify that it was to be a "Door" or a "Cabinet Door". There's a difference.
  11. Select "Account Settings" in the dropdown next to your name. Then select "Edit Profile" (small type on the right side)
  12. I would only use those in Vector Views for Elevations. Note that they are simply line drawings and do not have any fill. So if you have them in a Elevation or Section you need to be aware that they will not block out anything behind them.
  13. Same as those I provided the link to above. I first posted those in X4 or X5.
  14. I would suggest you contact Customer Support. OTOH, Pan/Zoom should only be done in Standard or Vector Render modes. What's on your Layout Pages 6-10? Sections and Elevations with "Auto Update"? Turn that off.
  15. Alex, I would model the Fireplace in a separate Plan and convert it to a Symbol. Symbols have intelligence. PSolids are pretty dumb.
  16. Is the view open? There is no fill when the view is open. That's the way Chief shows that any section or elevation is currently open.
  17. Here's a link to the Thread in the old Forum. There are a series of calibz files (50+ images) that you can download from that thread. People Images
  18. Print to PDF, then open in a PDF Editor ( I use NUANCE PDF) and add the water mark in that Program.
  19. Did you ever download the ones I posted about a year ago?
  20. Alex, Please edit your signature to indicate what version you are using. I tried opening your plan in X7 because that's what your signature indicated. The Plan was actually created in X8.
  21. Kevin, The problem with this is that the Layer in question was CAD, Default and by turning off that Layer you also turn off other things that maybe need to be displayed. This points out rather clearly that using CAD (Lines, Polylines, etc) in the Plan is really not a good idea. Using the proper tools to model the building will avoid a lot of this kind of problem.
  22. Check the Callout Defaults. Also not that the fill is not present if the Cross Section/Elevation is currently open.
  23. The short answer is NO. Chief doesn't provide a way to do this. Values can be converted from inches to ft-inches by using Ruby Macros but the Columns in a Schedule do not accept macros so there isn't any way to make that conversion in the Schedule.
  24. So how do you know what the title is of the original post? Will the search find content or does it require an exact post title?
  25. Here's another way to change wall types: 1. Select a existing wall type that you want to use. 2. Add it to the user library 3. Select that wall type from the user library and draw over the existing walls that you wan to change.
