This simply isn't always possible. The software is imperfect. Sometimes you just need to do the best you can (or the best the software can) and move on. It should also be noted that covering the "error" up isn't necessarily wrong. You're just having to use a different tool or approach than expected. I can for example cover an errant hole in a wall by completely removing the drywall layer from the wall definition, covering it with a solid, and then adding a component to that solid (or even to the wall for that matter) to get materials to accurately report to the materials list. I've also done things like stacking multiple walls side by side (one for the framing layer and another for the drywall layer, etc.) which ultimately report completely fine to the materials list without any component modification. Or maybe the material list isn't even wrong and its only the 3D view. If its not actually visible in any of your rendering or documents, does it really matter? Or if you can patch it with a mask of some sort in 5 minutes, is it really worth spending several hours figuring out a way to make it work "correctly"?

Even better would be to take the polyline that’s already created and use the Convert Polyline tool to Convert to a Material Region.

Regarding the fact you didn't "see anything": You need Build Terrain one way or another. One quick way is to simply click Terrain>Build Terrain. Open and closing the actual Terrain Perimeter would do it as well. If you import the points per my instructions, you should see that there are only 2 outlying points. The vast majority fit nicely into an area almost exactly 660x330. If you want the whole thing rotated, then you can either rotate after the fact or you can even set that during the import process.

These ones can pretty easily just be made from scratch as well. I offer this type of thing as a paid service, but here's a quickly thrown together pair of symbols on the house. These have less faces than the ones in the original dae file as well: Custom Column Caps.calibz Custom Column Cap 1.dae Custom Column Cap 2.dae The calibz file was made in X15 but you should be able to import the dae files into older versions.

You'll either need to convert them in Excel or do the conversion after the fact. Per the USGS: If you know how to do the math, you can do it yourself, otherwise you can use any number of online calculators like this one HERE to figure out more precisely how many feet per degree at any given latitude. At your location in Arkansas (derived from the coordinates you posted) it looks like each degree of longitude(X) is approx. 299521.53 ft. and that each degree of latitude(Y) is approx. 363977.13 ft. You would just want to enter those conversion factors during the Import process like so: You could also optionally do the conversion in Excel prior to importing. Either way, using the aforementioned conversion factors, your results should look something like this:

I would start by figuring out what measurement is being used in the source file. Its not that your points aren't being imported. Its just that they're all essentially stacked right on top of each other since the X and Y values are almost all identical and only differ by a fraction of their respective units.

As far as floor trusses are concerned, I think the only real change made in X15 was for them to be automatically distributed. The general truss settings and behaviors themselves seem to have remained largely (if not completely) unchanged. This behavior you've pointed out has been the same as far back as I can remember. You should probably send in a suggestion if you want to see it changed.

Its still in there. Since the Open Symbol and Open Object dialogs were combined though, a little rearranging was done and it got moved to the 3D tab. -

The Door Panel Face Item Type is meant to serve as a fixed panel (no hardware and no shelves). As Mick suggested, you should probably be using an Opening. -
How exactly do you plan on actually building that in the real world? Is it a double wall, or....

I haven’t experienced or heard of anyone experiencing any issues with malware being introduced through this forum. I’m not sure it’s worth discussing beyond that. Someone could for example come along and share their knowledge of the inner workings and about a potential weakness they see and just give potential hackers ideas. There are certainly people these weaknesses could be shared with like Chief’s staff, but a public forum isn’t the place in my opinion. If you have any ideas that may not be well-known, then I would encourage you not to post them here. -
You need to make the change on your individual walls, not just in your defaults. Your individual walls have already been compromised. Change all those pony walls in your plan back to Use Default.

By the way, I’m not against what Rene is suggesting. It’s just something entirely different from what I’m talking about and doesn't actually address your fundamental misunderstanding. The core of your original issue is simply that you’re making changes in the wrong dialog.

No. Don’t do that. Ignore Rene’s response and read mine again. You just need to make the change in your Plan View Specification and NOT in your Wall Specification.

You're just changing the setting in the wrong place. Change your Pony Walls themselves back to Use Default and then make changes to their display settings in you Plan View Specifications>Pony Wall Display.

If you're willing to pay for a little of my consulting time, I could set up a custom system that would fully automate this exactly like you want. Using the standard built in macros and methods though, I think your best bet is to either: Do as @rgardner suggested and just use multiple schedules Do as @Chopsawsuggested but get rid of the leading zero and maybe use something like a dash instead

You bet. Just to be clear, there are ways to partially automate. Just nothing OOB and nothing quite like what you've described. If you're wiling to pay for a little of my consulting time, I could for example set up a custom system for you where you could select the desired objects and automatically generate some desired output from the selected objects. Here's a simple example where I select the desired windows and in just a few seconds I have the displayed text box. The text box isn't dynamic but all the tabulation and calculations are automatic: The whole process for this one wall takes about 30 seconds...a little less if you don't get distracted by an incoming phone call.

Just a guess, but almost certainly being generated by the room between your foundation wall and your furring wall. Try setting those as actual furred walls in the Wall's Structure tab.

With those check-boxes you are choosing to override the default line settings which are otherwise controlled by the various object and layer settings. Notice that you can't select an Override Color, an Override Style, or an Override Weight until you check the box that says you want to do so. In other words, you are choosing whether you want to leave it all as is or override with a single new setting that you're about to select.

Short answer is no. There are no custom macros that will work like you're suggesting. We're limited to the object attributes (name:value pairs) Chief gives us. Rooms don't report any information about doors or windows contained within their boundaries, walls report a little information about opening area but none about specific windows/doors and the windows/doors themselves only report the name of whatever room(s) they belong to.

You're kind of moving the goalpost here. Until now there was no discussion about using the Library in Select Library Object mode. I was only responding to the original question.
