if you know the existing roof line height that you have drawn copy it and if you want the fascia's to match lock the fascia heght or lock the baseline height on the one you want to match then paste the new ridge height, it will change the pitch and match the ridge heights

no I forgot that is why I suggested to call tech, I am not tech savy, I had to copy the user lib that is in the my document folder and paste it back in but not sure where sorry I can't help more

Perry that's what I was suggesting but he wants the R.O. to show on the print at the door as a label from what I am understanding

I think only if you set a door to the r.o. that you want that door to be in the door label ten copy that door where you ant it, then if you have a differnt door you have to set that label and copy that one

If you go into door defaults under framing you can specify the r.o. for each side, and top, they when you set your defaults for your door schedule add the r.o. to your schedule and they will show, if you get a door that is different just set it in that door dbx

Is There A Way To Trim/extend P/solids In Elevation View?

Larry just a thought if you draw a pline solid in elevation where you want to extend the other pline solid will they extend, inother works will a pline solid cut and trim to another pline solid, not a my computer with Chief but just a thought, I know if you want to trim or extend a rafter you have to extend to another rafter -

I also made these 2 walls in Chief using beadboard pattern and adjusting to 8" wide and stretch to fit this might work also

J Joey Chief usually does just before the final release but the program has been beta test by other members before it is offered to SSA subscribers

Graeme I understand that I was putting out there that if they were looking for a tester to test before V8 comes out to see how things were going I was will to help out since I have sent many request in, always willing to help improve the program even if they wanted to do some test between.

I would be willing to test stairs and railings if it didn't effect the correct version so that I could still work on things and I was sent a seperate file to work on with stairs

+100000 chief we need a big overhaul on stairs and railings and ASAP, chief users have been asking for a long time, if there is improvements made and can be put to use before the next version you would make a lot of users very very happy

Perry doing a set of simple steps to the second floor steps are 42" wide and cover the wall below which has steps to the basement and they are jumping all over the place and a simple straight set of steps that should be nothing to do and I have to keep moving them back into position, very time consuming, Chief please fix fix the steps and railings

One of you guys gave us a clg height macro not sure but thank you, my question is there a macro for a wall height, I would like it to show the wall framing height like 8'-1/8" or 9'-1 1/8" and not take the floor covering or ceiling sheet rock into play, they will do there job from what the framer frames
