  1. Chief will align walls with their outer edges by default. This article covers the topic in detail: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00332/aligning-walls-between-floors-in-chief-architect.html
  2. I misunderstood the OP's intent, Mark's solution is a good one.
  3. You an just place you can lights on your plan view and they should automatically place themselves in the sloped ceiling as long as you un-check 'Flat Ceiling Over This Room' in the structure tab of your room DBX.
  4. Make it from a polyline solid then break the surface and drag it to match your ceiling.
  5. This video from the Knowledge Base may help you out: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/305/subtracting-polylines-that-overlap.html
  6. Sounds like you're new to this, take a look at this article from the Knowledge Base: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00117/locating-and-importing-3d-symbols.html
  7. Since you are sending it straight to Chief, it doesn't really matter which version you choose, I always download the newest one.The only time it matters which version you choose is if you plan to open it in your own version of SU.

  10. Chief recommends an NVIDIA RTX 30 series card. Lot's of discussion on the topic here https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/33864-best-gpu-besides-rtx3080/
  11. I have experienced this issue before but necessarily with glass. As Tea Time suggested, start by adjusting the refraction of the glass.
  12. You could make a copy of your glass material for your user library and then assign that material to the window. This would allow you to alter the properties for that window only.
  13. Make sure you check 'Default Light Set' in your camera DBX otherwise you'll only see a maximum of 8 lights.
  14. 3D Warehouse has a selection, perhaps one for your project? https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=pivot door&searchTab=model
  15. Mark: Here's a quick PBR I ran with a new camera (I did not see an interior camera in your plan other than the walk-thru) on X15 using mostly default settings. I also added a couple more light sources at the base of the stairs and set them for 4K lumens. To check on your end: Make sure all your light sources are turned on (be sure to select 'Default light Set' in your camera DBX) Increase the lumens and add more light sources Make sure your video driver is up to date Hope this helps - Eric
  16. I have the same concern which is why i use the 3D Cloud Viewer https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03068/viewing-managing-and-sharing-3d-viewer-models.html This feature is well liked by my clients but it starts to bog down as the file increases in size. It would be nice if Chief provided a way to lock the file for sharing. Another option is to offer the .plan file at an additional cost to your clients who already have Chief. There's been lot's of debate on both sides of this issue in other threads.
