  1. What are you guys doing for refrigerator drawer base cabinets? Just using 2 drawer and specifying label? I do not see any in any of the libraries or on 3D wharehouse.
  2. in case anyone can use it. This item is an actual fixture available on line. http://www.amazon.com/Organize-It-All-Estate-Magazine/dp/B002Y3IBC0/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_2_32VW?ie=UTF8&refRID=1B45KSN9G67P4G0M5KE5 I had this from the past and see the wall brackets are not quite right but close. Had a request for one on current design so.......... magazine rack with TP.calibz
  3. Thanks Greg. Always nice to have more light fixtures!
  4. The 20 1/4 were on 21" deep cabinets. (bath vanity cabinets) The wall cabinet is 12" with shelves at 10 1/2. Again - set to automatic shelf management. Don't know why such a disparity between the depths. Wall (1 1/2) and tall(3/4) and base(1 1/2). Looks like Chiefs automatic settings may be off. I can post the plan but Just try it own your own using 21" deep tall vanity & base cabinets and 12" wall cabinets and change the cabinets to framed versus frameless in vector view.
  5. OK, here is something funny. CHange cabinets to framed and the shelves disappear.
  6. Perry - it is set to default shelf management. the shelves are 20 1/4. I cannot remember ever changing anything to do with shelves except on specific plans when I want to adjust their number or placement. (like for roll out shelves) Never thought t change the default depth in the profile plan. I know I have seen this posted before. (was it me?? )
  7. Scott - I know I can do that but I should not have to. Why have a selection to toggle on/off shelves if it doesn't work?????
  8. Chief - PLEASE make it so when you uncheck cabinet shelves that they DON'T show!!!!!!!!!!!! I know this has been posted before but as far as I am concerned it is a BUG!!!!!!!!! Should be an EASY fix for THIS release, NOT X8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is NOT a suggestion, This is a DEMAND! (like that will work) ;o(
  9. open up your wall and reselect the tempered glass for the material. You must have used the spray can at some point on the wall. Spraying walls is a no no. Your shower 5 wall looks OK except for thickness but it is glass.
  10. I think you need to make that from scratch using furniture legs, cabinet with top and shelves. Make the cabinet the size of the upper portion and set at appropriate height. You may not be able to find the exact style of leg so you may have to use one that is basically the same and add polyline solid boxes at the appropriate height and so the same for the shelves. The sink will insert into the cabinet with the top. Select in 3D view and convert to symbol. If you hold on the fixtures (sink, faucet) you can add them afterwards and just keep the vanity as a cabinet.
  11. Ray - Thanks. X6 version works for me.
  12. Thanks David. Always on the look out for good tile textures! Pop around more often! ;o)
  13. pretty sure I tried that. Site is undergoing maintenance at the moment so I will try again later.
  14. I tried after seeing Dan's post. Couple of problems. 1. I did not like the quality of the textures. 2. I could not maneuver very well. There is no pan feature and when I zoomed in to go through walls into the room I wanted to be in the camera went on a downward trajectory. I posted to Dan and the forum but got no answer. Did not want to bother Dan further as it is not his program and he's not making anything on it.
  15. Joe - Never looked into material components for symbols. I will keep that in mind. OTOH doing remodeling I still prefer to calculate what I need from scratch versus eliminating what I don't need from the ML, adjusting lengths etc. Also, a lot of my costs come from suppliers and subs. I just use a spread sheet for estimating. Again, I am not complaining about what the ML does or does not do. In the picture I attached much of what is there is the existing house only there for presentation. Just adding my .02, less tax = .01. I will bow out now and leave the rest to those who do more complete projects. Have a nice weekend all........
  16. IN remodeling using the material list would be impractical. I often draw things in for presentation that are not going to be touched at all except MAYBE a fresh coat of paint. Recently designed a deck using polyline solids for beams and stone pillars. That would not present in the material list. I actually tried using framed walls with a stone finish "just to see" and it played havoc with things. I am not faulting Chief. I accept it. The program can't be all things for all people. What it gives in one are it takes away in another. (The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away). ;o) See the attached render references above and let me know if there is an accurate way to construct the stone columns and boxed beams and have the material in the material list.
  17. "I don't think that the 20x20 is the actual texture resolution " good point. I think I was mixing scale with resolution. I think 256x256 is probably right. Higher resolutions can make for increased file size and slower speeds.
  18. A lot of them are set to 20x20 but you can change that if needed. Sometimes when I create my own I adjust to what would be a real world scale based on the material. e.g. plank flooring consisting of 5 boards could be 25x144. 5" ea for 5 boards 12' long. Each texture is different. On some textures you want stretch to fit so it spreads across the whole item the texture is being applied to.
  19. Larry - pick the answer you like best! ;o)
  20. One thing that has come up with some users is a lag in performance. 2 second wait on selecting check box in dbx, a little slower response in general. On the other hand some seem to be fine. Nothing earth shattering new in X7 so it might be worth waiting a few weeks for the official release.
