  1. You might also want to color your roof sheathing to white to match the rafters and add the blocking.
  2. That's basically what I do. If I have a preliminary plan drawn in X9, then I will just bring it forward into X10 to finish. if the plan is finished in X9 then I will make changes in X9 and leave it there. If a plan is 2 or more versions back I will copy it to a new version profile plan or template, of course there is some fix up required.
  3. Unfortunately Chief has nothing automatically to fix that error in programming, you must fix it using a p-solid , there are other ways to do it but this is the easiest.
  4. The only difference I have is hardware edge smoothing is set to high on my system.
  5. I think it might be a Chief problem ,or a bringing plans forward a few versions. My machine is a couple years old now and slow with Scott's plan which is a large plan with lots of custom stuff. I usually do not see the slowness but very rarely get that kind of project. You may not find a computer that will run that job very fast. Check with the next update and see.
  6. Do whatever you need to do b/c this is your business and there is no messing around with that.
  7. And you may have to move your roof down also;, unless you have auto rebuild roof on
  8. Never done that myself but if I did you might try invisible walls with no ceiling or roof, just a flat floor. The exterior walls could be a p-solid or a real solid, windows and doors would be difficult but doable if you have time to do it.
  9. No way to do it automatically in Chief, you would need to create everything manually. You won't get framing also.
  10. worked great for me also.
  11. Maybe you didn't turn it on in the layer sets or post the plan for an exact answer
  12. you could also just hit "Clear printer info" and start over.
  13. My last encounter with ada code ramps here is 1;12 ratio
  14. Yes Chief has a whole separate download for ADA from the bonus catalogs
  15. Try closing and re-starting Chief, had the same problem
  16. we looked into that but IMO it wasn't accurate enough for me.. Sometimes I'll take a top view re-size it and trace some things
  17. Energy heal trusses for the joists size difference sounds right to me.
  18. Check sketchup wherehouse, Chief really isn't a program for commercial work but some do it.
  19. I didn't say no one will use it, it would be quite nice for trade shows, I just think most won't.
  20. You would think it would work when you open it and change it in the plan view, at least it should. Thanks Michael, I'll try that for now.
