  1. I also like it if you don't need the framing.
  2. Curt, I think you can put them wherever you want, just don't move them or the link will be lost.
  3. I would also like to have an option to keep the breaks.
  4. I put them in Chief x? data folder file. That way I just copy that folder to each new new version.
  5. My videos are different than yours, mine are just to show the homeowner a quick view of everything new. I also pay for bandwidth so a lot of views means more money. I try to keep it down to my yearly fee and not go above that. When you do instructional videos the sky is the limit. They are the best though.
  6. {quote name="VinnieVicon" post="2814" timestamp="1395100807"] I have had no problems with X6 Vinnie Do you work on a mac?
  7. You also need to check" trim to soffits" and "soffits". If I want the rafters to show I use a opening no material for the soffit material.
  8. look at the ridge height in the roof plane DBX and match it.
  9. It just to easy to create your own video, takes me 3-5 minutes. There are also free programs out there to do it with.
  10. Yes, its always been that way for me also, just send to the layout and its fixed.
  11. The sub-fascia controls the exterior rafter size.
  12. Bug? That's exactly what I want it to do. Been using it that way for many years now.
  13. New construction will give you a better number but I still think it cuts the garage wall in halve, but its close enough for me.
  14. Sometimes I have had to actually make a pony wall instead of using the roof breaks wall check.
  15. Use the "Box scale" command if you don't want the zoom problem. The box scale command is in the label for the layout view. go to the layout and highlight a view open it (not using the open view) and add the macro to the label and it will be attached to the view, then you can move it wherever you want.
  16. Look at the Nvidia control panel. You spec's are good if you are using the Nvidia
  17. Sorry, Rod I really have never played with that, I just select something in the plan and filter it that way.
  18. What kind of video card / memory do you have? X6 uses more resources than X5
  19. If I understand you correctly, you are trying to filter layers to what you want. Easy, just select the items you want to show the layer it in and clock on the "0" at the bottom of the screen to bring up all layers associated with those items.
  20. Yes, Gerry I use the room finish schedule for square footage analysis. When doing additions you just turn off "'include in schedule" and just the added area will be included. Although, the final number is off by just a couple of s.f. b/c Chief figures the square footage to the center of the existing wall. I will never know why they did that. It's just wrong, but close enough to use.
  21. Looks like an easy fix but you must do it manually, just break the roof plane and adjust the overhang.
