  1. Micro your triangle size is way off, it should be 24 preview / 60 for final view, no wonder your having problems. that setting will really slow you down
  2. Scott is correct, if you want stucco, than make the wall type a stucco wall and it will be stucco.
  3. Sometimes I have to slide them together, but it does work.
  4. A demo plan is easy using anno-sets. Look at Scott's video's on Demo plans. I have 2 separate plans for additions, existing and new. The existing plan is shown on my layouts also. The dashed lines are just walls that use a dotted line, I like to mainly show the roof
  5. These day ,I would get whatever you can, I never charge by the hour but by the job, that way I can do it faster and make more money and there is no problem with the customer complaining about your hours spent.
  6. Tommy, you are correct, sorry for that.
  7. This is what reference sets can get you with going to cad to view, I never do that.
  8. I believe in X6 this is the one you want
  9. I put it on a layer I created called "Walls not in plan" and turn it off. Room divider walls will change its thickness if you have different floor or ceiling heights so it can frame the difference.
  10. You can use reference sets to get that. Set up an anno-set to show whatever you want for the site plan but you can only show 2 floors.
  11. You really have to beat that button down to get it.
  12. Gene, do you use reference sets to show things as you want them?
  13. I couldn't even think of combining the foundation plan with any floor plan, with all the earthquake stuff we have to put on the plan out here. It would look like Godzilla stomped it down.
  14. A clean model is a happy model, existing walls left in the plan, just muck it up.
  15. Where is the waterfall video when you need it for a laugh. Funniest thing on Earth.
  16. for me ,I would make the lowest floor, level 1, so you can do a foundation below that.
  17. The great thing about Scott is he will do it, and make a video of how its done. It not the money, it's the challenge.
  18. You can watch a lot of available video's on Youtube and here at Chief's website. There are a lot of them to keep you busy for many weeks. There are also a lot of trainers here that can help you get started. You will always be learning, I still am.
  19. Yes I have My Software edge smoothing set to zero all the time, let the hardware do the work, it's faster.
  20. You have to change to the NVidia card in the NVidia control panel, change it there. You are still running the intel built in card.
  21. Until X6 came out with fast shadows, even with my card, there was slowness going on, but now I leave shadows on all the time 24/7.
