  1. Larry, here is your plan fixed, I built the deck then locked all deck framing and planks then dragged the roof plane back against the wall. DECK OVER ROOF 1 fixed.plan
  2. Right now there is no organization method other than what you name them, but we have been asking for some folder type property's to be added to Ruby. You could just copy all your notes to a macro and that's it. Just try to keep your names straight for now
  3. well, if you use template plans, it's a no brainer.
  4. You can put them anywhere you want even in the layout, as Joe was saying. they are not plan specific. Copy or import your macros to your template plans and layout as you want, if you just copy a bunch of text macros to another plan, the macro automatically comes along for the ride. Try it, just copy the macro text from another plan to your plan and you are done. Similar to copying walls, the wall definition auto comes along for the ride
  5. You can copy a fill using the eyedropper from the appropriate DBX
  6. Here is how to create a simple text macro. http://www.screencast.com/t/KV6kdcftHJ
  7. I put notes that I use all the time in a simple text macro, the good thing about that ,is when you change the macro note it automatically changes everything in the plan and layout also. Change one place only.
  8. Maybe Jonny was talking about himself as an intermediate , that seems correct.
  9. The arrow problem is much better than it used to be , but it still happens from time to time.
  10. I remember before Anno-sets, it was a real big pain to annotate anything, and have said ,it could be the most time saving feature ever developed, been using them since they started and never looked back. we also wanted something like this for a long time.
  11. Not secret, I use a very much toned down version of what Scott does.
  12. I said 200 for property lines or terrain perimeter to be exact, and that is in the plan and transferred to the layout when printing, I never touch the layout line-weights and keep that setting at 100 where chief puts it. Any changes to line-weights are done at the plan level. Changing the layout line-weights Change all of them at the same time. The bookies don't have the la chargers doing very good this year.
  13. I think by adding the word anno- as a layer was confusing to me.
  14. What I think he does is create a new layer, instead of a new layer-set in his video. I do still think Scott has way to many layers, Anno-sets, layer-sets for me. But don't let me influence you b/c you have different needs than I. Larry's video seemed a little confusing and he does it different than all of us.
  15. My line-weights start at 15 and go up from there to 200 for property lines. Anything below 10 is probably to light. You can also use a grayscale line to make it seem lighter.
  16. I'm not sure if you need all those anno-layers but what I do is to create a new layer-set for a new anno-set as needed. Keeps it simple.
  17. You can export and import anno-sets and layer sets.
  18. I always just remove that chief wrap layer.
  19. Whatever you want it to be. How is someone suppose to know that, prices change every day.
  20. of course ,Joe, take all the time you need, just let me know when you are ready.
  21. It might be hard to find a commercial drawing file as not many of us do it in Chief. Some do though.
  22. Nice Joe, what a time saver all that is. I'll purchase all of the above.
