Hi,

In one of my rooms the room labels appears twice. I delete one of them. It will pop up again after a while. There is only one room. Why it does that and how to fix it?

The labels can be re-positioned so it might be a label for a different room.

Sorry I mean just for one room in the basement. I dont know why. Even if I delete it, it comes back after a while.

If you use walls inside the basement walls, like we would to finish a basement, there seems to be a bug that will find a "room" between the 2"x wall the and the basement wall. Annoying as hell!! Select the interior 2"x wall and mark as no room definition and see if that extra "room" goes away.

I believe you can also check the box for furred wall, to keep from having a room definition.

I have had this happen when redesigning an as built plan.  All rooms are defined, then some walls get demolished, and new walls added.  Not every time, but sometimes a second room label will appear.  I just delete the unwanted labels, seems to work ok, but it can be confusing as to what label belongs to what room.

This is what I do. Usually a short wall in the mechanical room.

I apologize because I know this topic has been covered many times but I can't seem to find exactly the help I need from previous posts.

I have created a simple room information label but wanted to modify it slightly.  See attached.  Want ceiling height to read in feet and inches and want to round the room volume to nearest whole number.

A related matter is when I go in the text box and try to insert a user defined macro they are all grayed out. I was attempting to copy and modify the volume macro to round out, but could not insert the modified version.... Not sure why that is.

If someone can point me in the right direction and or provide any assistance, that is greatly appreciated.

I have added the Room ceiling height and the Room finished floor material to the Room Label to make a my custom room label.

I need the ceiling height to be in feet (&inches) not in inches. I need the floor finish material to be the Generic type of finish (wood, tile, carpet, etc.) not the specific type of material.

How can the label be modified to do this? Or can I change the way the room ceiling height dimension is noted without affecting my other dimensions?

Can the materials be automatically noted as a type as they are found in the library rather than a specific material?

In the image below, you will see that I have a room label for my deck that includes the room name as well as the room (deck) dimensions.  In the room label dbx I have given the room label a white solid fill and have included the box (border) around it.  Please note that my dimension extension lines are over (visible) for the room dimension part of the label while the dimension extensions are under the room title.  Is this the way it is suppose to work or is this a bug that needs fixin?  I want the dimension extension hidden under the complete room label - not just part of it.

You can also see in the image that the dimension extension lines are under the text box for my deck floor and ceiling elevations which is what I want.
