gls123
Working one of the new X7 features into the workflow--transparent backgrounds in exported images. I used both ray trace and a standard camera view of the same shot. My goal was an almost primitive atop a textured/distressed sky. jon Looks like something from a Wes Anderson movie. I like it. gls123
Trying out new software. Anyone else use/try Modo? This took 4 minutes to render. Black section is just as-built that I didn't detail out fyi.

Chiefer
More from Corona and photoshop. Trying to copy the bloom effect I've seen on some render forums. BTW. Have you tried the Bloom and Glare effects in Vray?

Chiefer
Love that 45-ish inches above floor camera height as well as the composition.
Dennis_Gavin
Looks great! Love the bump on brick and shingles. Is the brick texture from chief or elsewhere?
VisualDandD
I am a long time Chief user. I have been playing with some ideas to get more value out or drawing for builders and started learning to put together some videos combing rendering and walk-thru's. Using several different things in the process..... I never did really clean up the plans, (cab layout...etc). I am also getting "z-fighting" on my undermout sink. I only spent about an hour 'decorating'....but I can see how building a seperate library just for this purpose would speed the process greatly. This is my first attempt at it. Dennis_Gavin
Justin, Is Lumion one of the products you are using? Personally I do not like/find value in the floor plan shots. I think they take away from the presentation. I would keep it all movie/renderings. My .02. ;o) On 2nd look I think I would brighten up the crown just a touch to help it stand out. Nit-picking...... CJSpud
Jintu: Another great ray trace ... thanks. Did you use a bump map for the HW flooring? Looks like it has a bit of 3D texture to it.
Chiefer
Yes, there is a bump into it. I used the same material from the original texture, copy and paste. Thanks
jcaffee
But I liked the fireflies. They add "atmosphere" jon

gls123
This was just an exercise. This was originally done in Revit and I was curious how it would turn out in Chief. All textures are Chief's except signs and background. Still need to import my commercial kitchen libraries.

gls123
Very nice, what did you render it in? Restaurant was rendered with Corona which I like for its quick setup time. Below was rendered with Modo which I am slowly trying to switch over to.
BryceEngstrom
Haven't posted a ray trace in forever. Just thought I would try one of a current project right OOB with Jintu's settings. Not too bad for no tweaking of any kind. You've come a long way Chiefy.
