Door layer color no changing

Recommended Posts

I must be losing it. I opened up my file this morning and I noticed all my doors (and windows) were colored grey. I went to my door layer and they were marked to be black. I tried to change them to another color but they would not change. What stupid thing am I missing for the reason for this. The default color is set for black. It's going to be a long day. ----------- Maybe retirement is the answer!  :)

Larry, If you don't get a logical answer today please send that one in to tech support.  I just sent one in where doors were showing in doorways but only 3/4 of the profile.

Larry,

Sorry missed the point. Not sure why you're getting gray instead of black.

Maybe a simple re-boot?

Open your window defaults and change your default stacking Level back to 0.

Obscure but very helpful for the future. Thanks Dermot

Dermot, please help me understand what is going on. Larry has a door problem and he is to open the window defaults to correct it?

I can’t speak to the default stacking level as it’s not something I’ve ever changed, and I’m away from my computer so I can’t test, but assuming Dermot is correct (and I’m sure he is),  it’s not the only window default that affects both doors and windows.  The Minimum Separation works the same way.
