swimming pool lights

Recommended Posts

I created a custom swimming pool using slabs and primitive solids. I would like to know if there are lights that illuminate inside the pool.

For that you would use "Added Light Sources" to place a light source in concert with your custom light fixture."3D - Lighting - Add Light" then adjust the "Light Data" to suit your purposes.

Great looking pool.

Any chance you could post here as a symbol for others to use.

Right click on symbol in User library and Export Library ( Item ) then post .calibz file.

Putting the symbol in you User Library is a little more complicated but will allow you to drop it into a new plan with just a few clicks.

Are you sure you want this? I don't know how other people create pools but I made this from slabs and primitive solids. This is what it looks like cross sectioned. The other view is what the pool looks like in my user library.

Thanks Tedv , always nice to have a another symbol in the Library  , you should perhaps Post it in the Symbols Forum too for Future Users, looking for a Pool.

Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in, especially with the Software Version,
and of course a real Name is nice too :) ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.
If you don't see my Signature then you have them turned off for the Forum so you need to
Toggle it on in UserName>Account >Signatures...... go to the Upper RH Corner of Forum Window.

Is it possible in Chief Architect to animate water in the pool like in this video?

There is a free program called squirlz.  You can save a picture of your pool, import it into squirlz outline the water and apply water movement and then save as a gif. Chief does not provide this kind of option.

Do you trust this site? My Mcaffee virus protector claims it's very risky. I will try just using an animated gif.

Be sure to search for squirlz with an 'l', not a 't', unless you're looking for pages of sexually oriented stuff ;)

We're trying to figure out how to change the angle of pendent lights on vaulted ceilings. When we create the ceiling angle, the lights follow and aren't angled properly. How do we change the lights so they go vertical rather than at a tilt?

Is there an easy way to insert undercabinet lighting?
      Thanks!

      Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Chief Architect and I was wondering if there were any symbols in the library (2D or 3D) that represents a 2'x4' recessed light fixture.  For a suspended ceiling in an office building.   I haven't been able to find anything close to that.  Thanks in advance for the assistance!

How do I place a flood light on a exterior column or exterior soffit? Aalso placing a electrical outlet on a column. I have made a small retangle wall in past to do it.
Any suggestion? this is something cheiv developers need to work on.
It says walls or cabinets! Ther should be a simple solution.
