Designer100
is it possible to Reflect or flip a complete set of construction plans and also what is in Layout in Chief x8?. if so do I have to spend time reflecting and working on some of the certain parts of the plan? I saw that Chief Architect has Ref. no. KB-00284 article on this. PLAN 1685. LOT 1. 2.zip Plan 1685LA.7z
HamlinBC
You can do it all quickly if you go to Tools>Reverse Plan. But I'm warning you that you'll want to make sure and go through your plan to verify it all flipped smoothly.
Chopsaw
Newel, If you are really concerned about your reputation you would have done a quick forum search before posting and found this :
johnny
I've flipped a couple plans in Chief and its not "perfect". Then again, nearly every app i've used has about the same amount of clean-up for mirroring a plan. In fact, Chief might do it a little better IMO. Designer100
Thanks for your input. I have a client that wants to build same house on lot next to it, but flip it from left side carport and plan to a right side carlport plan. Instead of just flippling it on plot/site plan, deciding what to do! Maybe charge by the hour to flip it , plus stock plan fee. What do some of you other guys do or how to charge contractor to flip a plan?
Kiwideziner
Charge for the hours it actually takes, generally more than expected. The contractor probably thinks you can push a button then hit the print button so you have to explain things usually.
MPDesign
I have done reverse plans for builders, it is a pain if you havent set up the building to be centered on 0,0 point in plan view. I have actually set up my template plan to have a large point marker set to 0,0. I get my size of the first floor perimeter walls set then center it on 0,0 The time editing is usually the building section cameras. If you use live cameras. Otherwise, the reverse plan command works quite well.
