  1. I agree with you Dennis, but like body functions - It Happens. Since the advent of HVAC & Standards from ASHRAE, this stuff should have died long ago.
  2. Thumbsup, are you wanting to do a whole house, or just show it in 1 closet's 3-d? I ask because putting in all of the closets of a large house may cause a slow down. Just thinking out loud.
  3. KBlack64, Welcome to Chief Architect and the User's Forum! You didn't mention your construction experience. Have you been drawing construction doc.'s by hand? Are you mostly interested in kitchens, baths ans interiors? Please also take a minute and describe your computer system and your location in your signature. This may help locate an experienced user near you. I'd suggest either attending a live seminar, or getting 1 on 1 training through Chief Architect. You'll find most everyone on this forum wants you to be successful! We welcome you and know that before long, you'll have the hang of things.
  4. Alan, It's under the Shutters Tab of the Mulled Unit.
  5. Outstanding! My, My, My, your work and devotion really paid off. Thanks for sharing and making me envious.
  6. Also, I DISABLED the touch properties of the pad. I kept messing things up with my hand. I also have 2 monitors. I actuslly don't type much, I think that you can see why.
  7. I absolutely love my Wacom Intous Pen! While it does take some getting used to, it is much faster and easier on the hand as it is a more natural position than a mouse. I have mine set to only use the Upper Left Corner of the tablet. Find how to do this in the Mapping Setting in the Wacom software. I do this because I can cover much greater ground with shorter strokes by making my pad only a little bigger than a business card. I have the back rocker set to TAB, front rocker set to be a right click, I erase with the top of the pen just like using a pencil. To click I just tap the pad, and to double click I tap twice. While my pen is an Intous 5, I was very happy with the Intous 2 until Win 7. I wasn't able to get my CA X6 to work as well as I had wished with the Intous 5, but am finding that X7 and current drivers on Win 8.1 Pro are playing together just fine. Hope that this encourages you to hang with it to get past the awkward learning curve.
  8. Larry, I think that that is my favorite tool. Use it all the time for everything from kitchens to terrain & cad.
  9. Dbl click the Camera Icon to open the Dbx for defaults.
  10. Kjeller: Thanks for the 3+ min tour of Norway's countryside. I am jealous of your work! The mountains, pastures, and water look especially great. Loved the animated people and the concrete truck. Very Very nice!
  11. I suppose that once it is built with cabinet parts & tools, it could be exported and imported again to appear in the cab. schedule correctly.
  12. Joe, what's an ironing board? Kidding aside, THANKS for taking your time, it is very thoughtful of you!
  13. Just installed on my new computer, Thanks VERY much, Joe.
  14. Ken, did you copy the light fixture from a floor above by chance?
  15. Todd, X7 is the best migration yet. Like Joe said, X6 will still be operative on your machine. There are many improvements from X6 to X7 that you shouldn't deny yourself.
  16. Thanks! My symbol was at best "clumPsy" as one of my kids used to say.
  17. Rob, Open the Symbol, go to Materials Tab, on each material either right click or dbl click the 'name' and you can change it. Sometimes, I'll change a material to a strong vibrant color like hot pink just to see where it is applied so that I'll know what to name the area/part of the symbol.
