  1. Actually, for not solving the problem you are required to take three of them. ", I think it is not a good idea to leave rooms as "unspecified." This should not be necessary... but I hear you
  2. Thanks Chop for recording this. Listening to it, there was some good stuff that might of come out of the workshop....... i.e., the little nugget that S.H. gave us in regards to a new feature in X-9.
  3. Yes, if fixed the 2 windows at bath. It did not fix the second floor window over front door. I do not know why you thought that would work is a mystery to me. I did change it to court.... which gave me a slab over the garage, I then changed that floor structure for the "court" to ply over floor joists and it is still fixed. Thanks Richard. Now if you can fix my second floor window over the front door, I will give you the choice of 2 of my 5 grandkids. I think this is some kind of exoteric bug..... or is that endoteric bug?
  4. Here is a link to the embarrassment plan. See if you can figure out how to remove the first floor walls that cover up some second floor windows. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pz0n2q7yjw7c0kw/JUSTICE%20PLAN%205A%20workshop%20a%20embarrassmnt%20plan%20a.plan.zip?dl=0
  5. Thanks to all of you that attended. If I get one golden nugget, I figure it was time well spent. I picked up a couple golden nuggets. A special thanks to S.H. and Phillup for attending.
  6. here is the embarrassment plan, see if you can fix the filled windows. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s8yiieqwqn655hv/AAB4_7VCE_-8pBedIqBp46tLa?dl=0
  7. I just sent out the invites, if you did not get one, email me at dscotthall@mac.com
  8. It seems as if it is the lower wall that is causing the problem because if you change the wall to just about anything else, you can see the wall. It is something specific to that particular wall.... I think. If I use a 6" co crete stem wall, all is okay.
  9. Nice call, I cannot figure it out either.
  10. You also deleted some very short walls.... that is not what he had.
  11. Hey guys & gals, I will be sending out email invites at 3:40 PST. I am sending them out 5 minutes early so JPC can get his act together and join us (love you JPC). Please check in as early as you can to ensure you can join the meeting. Please, if you have examples of any plans you are having issues with, please have them ready. I have 4 things I want to discuss, (maybe 15 minutes), - basement on level 1 or level zero - Mon Cheries walk out basement plan - My own Justice plan - the Perucca Plan and then it will open for anybody else to be the presenter. Hopefully we will stay on topic, dealing with floor elevations and how they effect the model. I have a feeling this could be a good one. We will start promptly at 4:00 pm PST.
  12. You might want to check this out https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/10651-the-jpcgraeme-floor-level-workshop-wednesday-aug24-at-400-pm-pst/
  13. Send the city a LINK to your dropbox, no uploading necessary.
  14. I agree with JPC. I build them manually. However, you might try EXPLODING (there is a tool at bottom left corner of screen available when you select the auto dormer) the auto dormer and then play with raising and lowering the roof planes.
  15. Ain't this interesting. We have cable railing and nobody can use them. I experienced the same thing recently. I thought it was me being dense..... geez......
  16. I sent it via email, I will also try to attach it here. mineral surface library for Perry.calibz
  17. This is the result. I must be doing something wrong... I export from CA layout and then imported back into CA and I have a line weight issue.
  18. Jerry, would the new DWG keep the line weights? Now that I think about it, that may be a problem.
  19. Jerry, you are a genius. That should work.... I think, thanks tons.
  20. Yes, I have tried it and I was unsuccessful. I was hoping I was missing something.
  21. I have a client who would like a DWG or DXF file of my layout with the layout boxes. IOW, I have LAYOUT FILE with different windows that have been sent to layout, is it possible to get a DXF or DWG file of the entire sheet? file:///Users/dscotthallIMACOFFICE/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202016-08-23%20at%206.15.51%20AM.png
  22. Talking about disappearing materials, when I upgraded, I lost the Owens Corning mineral surfaced material. A material I use for all of my built up roofs. I had to download an older version of their catalog to get it back. CA needs to work on this. We can't losing materials. Maybe CA can keep the material but alert us that it is no longer available.
  23. Here is a question. If I am using a material from a Manufacturer, and if I then update the manufacturer catalog libraries, and that material is no longer available, what happens to any of my plans that is using the material? Does it disappear from my plan?
