  1. BTW. here is a vid I did a while back discussing floor elevations. I just watched it again, it might be a little hard to follow, but this vid might show some evidence of whatever issues some guys are experiencing. The thing you need to take note of is by selecting THE SECOND FLOOR (one big room) in one of three different locations, depending on what point in the room I selected to change the floor depth, the floor above would behave differently for all 3 cases. I do not have an explanation for the behavior.
  2. Hey guys, this thing is filling up (I think because JPC is going to grace us with his presence). I have about 6 more slots, I think Glenn said something about sponsoring a $100,000 dollar door prize for the 5th caller...... he may of been kidding...... this might be a pretty good workshop, I sure hope to learn a thing or two. And for you guys that are coming, please bring a plan that is giving you fits. Mon Cherie has already passed a great plan to me that we may begin the discussion with.
  3. I just spoke with CA Super Support (Alex), he had me delete the CULTURED STONE libraries (after I had closed CA) and then he had me reimport.... all is well now... thank you Alex.
  4. I am surprised the GARAGE DOOR WIZARD is no longer available. It was a wonderful little program. I too wish CA would buy it or create their own sub program so we can customize garage doors. The garage door wizard which I have, only works on PC, since I am now on a MAC, it is not very accessible to me. Unfortunately, some of the garage doors from MANUF CATALOGS do not cover all of the options I need. Please CA, work on your own GARAGE DOOR WIZARD, it is a very handy program.
  5. Nuts, I am in the midst of some pretty smart guys.
  6. Who knew Alan Lehman knew the definition of such exoteric words ko·an ˈkōän/ noun a paradoxical anecdote or riddle, used in Zen Buddhism to demonstrate the inadequacy of logical reasoning and to provoke enlightenment.
  7. That is the answer... of course you now to to rotate the new cabinet 180 degrees in plan view....... the point is with most cabinets you can change a door from a right cabinet door to a left cabinet door. With the corner cabinet, you can not do that........ seems like a very small loss of function.
  8. Hi please open plan, do a floor overview, Can you flip corner cab door direction? If so, how did you do it? I can tell you, flip cabinet and then you need to rotate in plan.... is this weird? Why can't we open dvx and change swing side? BBB FLIP DOOR TO OPEN RIGHT NOT LEFT.plan
  9. 3500 for computer and printer, 2800 for CA,, $5.99. For "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" sign. $6305.99 total cost.
  10. Perry, I tried the link you sent... still a no go... sounds like this is a job for Super Support at Headquarters........ I am sure they can't wait to hear from me.
  11. Yep, still missing textures and this is what I got...
  12. I'm on a MAC. When I did it yesterday, it froze on Wellborn cabinets, I did not realize this because I had to go and play golf, but this morning, still stuck on Wellborn, I quit restarted, updated libraries again, it went through the whole thing quickly and then it went back and started updating eldorado stone, now it is updating kohler.... I will keep you posted.... but a quick look at culture stone and I am missing most of my textures.... not good. I will keep you posted, but in any event, why would it delete some of my textures unless they were discontinued...... BUT I DON'T CARE IF THEY ARE DISCONTINUED, I still want them.
  13. Crap, updated libraries and this is what I now see, anybody else seeing this? I have always had my textures and now I auto update ....... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.... why did I update libraries?
  14. When I looked at your latest model, I would agree, you are a pro.
  15. You explained yourself very well the first time. For some reason you did not listen to the answers.
  16. Ok Chop, how did you do it?. 3 walls? Is it easy to control the radius? It looks like too large of a diameter to be a true bullnose corner.
  17. My take on this is if you are a professional, get the full blown version. The amount of money you are saving selecting the dumbed down version, is quickly lost when you run into a situation that will not work with the the dumbed down version. Your time is valuable. Get the pro version... in no time you would of made your money back in spades.
  18. I swear, it just cracks me up, why don't you make it easy on people and post a plan with a note explaining your issue. I don't even know why I am responding to such an inane post by you. It just cracks me up... sorry for the rant, but you are wasting people's time .
  19. Is that supporting a 10' floor load or a 30' floor load and is there a roof bearing on the wall and is the roof a 10' roof load or a 30' truss roof load and do you have a snow load on the roof and are you thinking of using #2 lumber or #1 lumber? Oh heck, throw a 4x10 in there, that should work.
  20. I set a date for the workshop... see thread below https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/10651-the-jpcgraeme-floor-level-workshop-wednesday-aug24-at-400-pm-pst/
