  1. I think you have the right idea. manually create a floor in the portion of the closet where you want to raise the floor and then I am assuming yo want a sloped ceiling over a portion of the stairs to get required head room and with the for cross section views and 3d you can add a slopedceiing plane. A little bit of work but very doable.
  2. Did you guys ever notice.... Relink plans to layout will auto update all elevations ...... and fast..... love it!
  3. 2 monitors, all sidebars stay on main monitor where CA resides. I think you are correct., it is a multiple monitor issue. It seems Brian keeps telling me that.
  4. Make sure the "C" is checked and not another option. Do you understand what this is?
  5. Thanks Rabbit, the video inspired me to better understand how to quickly change dimension defaults for cabinets. Sometimes I tend buck the CA method, but fortunately after beating my head against the wall for several years, I always come around.
  6. The Alaskan Son is a great asset to this community. I have met him in person and a very nice guy. I do not think he needs to sell his services. He is probably as busy as he wants to be. I do very little serious cabinet dimensioning so I have not experienced these issues but as usual, I learned a lot from this thread and what Michael was explaining. These are the types of threads that I really love. Lots of back and forth trying to determine if the user or the program is failing. I think we are all very lucky that some heavy hitters spent their time helping us understand some dimensioning methods.
  7. I got the corrupt tool bars for the first time (I think first time) in X13 just the other day. I never know what I did to cause this malfunction. I leave my tool bars alone.... I never move them or customize them anymore yet the corruption occasionally lifts its nasty head. grrrrrrrr......
  8. Yep, and to expand on that, on the second floor make it open below and then you can put in a minimal slope roof (1/2:12) 2' below topo 2nd floor walls.
  9. if you are referring to the roof planes, you build it out or roof planes.
  10. It could happen with a PC also. They listed a fix for a PC so I assume it can happened to a PC.' all good now'
  11. WOW, never mind, I got it fixed. I was just working along and suddenly I had this issue. Not sure what caused it.
  12. Critical error....do you have any idea what this means? I get this with every file I open. Do you guys have any idea what this means? thanks
  13. does this help? set the curb height to-6"
  14. Eric's solution should work. Supposedly they fixed this in X13. Try rebuilding the trusses (select truss, open dbx and click the FORCE REBUILD button.
  15. Make sure level zero says provides floor for leve above.
  16. I agree with Mick, that is what I would expect, what do you want?
  17. Yeah, once you change the floor level to 0" and not 1", it will read correctly.
  18. I am not sure if I agree with "DON'TUSE MOLITHICSETTING", blower a couple screen shots of my settings.
  19. Yep, that did it, thanks Brian. Firefox worked. Now I remember why I kept Firefox on the 'puter. Nice call Mark.
  20. Attached is a screen shot from the viewer file you provided me with. Not very good. I agree that it appears that the anti-aliasing is not doing its job.
  21. here is my screen shot, not as good as yours,
  22. Thanks Larry, I think yours looks better than mine. On my Mac it does not look as good as I remember it and on my iPad it does not look as good. In fact on my iPad I cannot toggle the shadows on and off because when I press the radio button, it does not stick. (on either of my iPads). On my Mac, I can toggle the shadows on and off.
  23. Hi Larry, here is a link to the model. Please check it out to see if your views are better than mine. I get a lot of the jiggies and jaggies (not smooth lines at edges) https://3d-viewer.chiefarchitect.com/go?share=412474203073539
