I got the corrupt tool bars for the first time (I think first time) in X13 just the other day. I never know what I did to cause this malfunction. I leave my tool bars alone.... I never move them or customize them anymore yet the corruption occasionally lifts its nasty head. grrrrrrrr......

how to show floor joists lower than top of wall
dshall replied to Jambruins's topic in General Q & A
Yep, and to expand on that, on the second floor make it open below and then you can put in a minimal slope roof (1/2:12) 2' below topo 2nd floor walls. -
if you are referring to the roof planes, you build it out or roof planes.

WOW, never mind, I got it fixed. I was just working along and suddenly I had this issue. Not sure what caused it. -
Critical error....do you have any idea what this means? I get this with every file I open. Do you guys have any idea what this means? thanks

does this help? set the curb height to-6"

Eric's solution should work. Supposedly they fixed this in X13. Try rebuilding the trusses (select truss, open dbx and click the FORCE REBUILD button.

Make sure level zero says provides floor for leve above.
-
I agree with Mick, that is what I would expect, what do you want?
-
Yeah, once you change the floor level to 0" and not 1", it will read correctly.
-
I am not sure if I agree with "DON'TUSE MOLITHICSETTING", blower a couple screen shots of my settings.
-
Yep, that did it, thanks Brian. Firefox worked. Now I remember why I kept Firefox on the 'puter. Nice call Mark.

Attached is a screen shot from the viewer file you provided me with. Not very good. I agree that it appears that the anti-aliasing is not doing its job.

here is my screen shot, not as good as yours,

here is my screenshot

Thanks Larry, I think yours looks better than mine. On my Mac it does not look as good as I remember it and on my iPad it does not look as good. In fact on my iPad I cannot toggle the shadows on and off because when I press the radio button, it does not stick. (on either of my iPads). On my Mac, I can toggle the shadows on and off.

Hi Larry, here is a link to the model. Please check it out to see if your views are better than mine. I get a lot of the jiggies and jaggies (not smooth lines at edges) https://3d-viewer.chiefarchitect.com/go?share=412474203073539

Thanks for that info Dermot, that helped. However, the model on my Mac still is not great. Is it a Mac thing or am I still missing something? My model looks nowhere as good as David's model(Parkwest).

Here are the specs on the materials. It looks they are not emissive. Am I missing something? The two materials are the stucco and the fascia.

Hi Chop, not sure what you are saying. Are you saying that THE VIEWER does not run very good on the MAC? I do not use the VIEWER often, but it seems like it ran well before this latest VERSION of CA.

3D Viewer on a MAC. Is this the best I can get? These are screen shots of the STANDARD VIEW (not BASIC VIEW). Is anybody getting better pics?
