No Sorry but there may be a few other way to organize your custom toolbar depending on what it does and when and where you use it. You could have a floating toolbar for doing doors or windows that you just take out when you need it. Or you could create a completely new toolbar configuration for a specific task.

Might be easier to just turn your monitor 45° eh !

Would that be Text Macro Management ? If so yes that seems to be an outstanding issue and very annoying since it worked much better in previous versions. Otherwise ALDO, LB, PB seem to be stable in X13.
-
If you like you can PM that to me or if it is not private info you can post it here so others with the same issues may learn something as well.
-
That should not be happening. Are you currently using X7 ? You might want to post a plan file Backed Up from Layout... "Backup Plan Files and All Referenced Files" ( Layout and settings ) Something is definitely messed up in your setup with the plan and layout sync.
-
Have a look at the "Batch Plot" options > Publish Options > Include Layer Information.
-
As far as I know that is not possible. Please post your plan file or at least a screen shot of the situation.
-
There are a series of tools on your active toolbar that will work for that sort of operation depending on the exact situation. For that particular problem you posted I would likely use the "Extend" tool. The "Trim" or "Mitre" and "Lap" tools can also be quite handy as well.

Standing Metal Seam with PBR Causes Ridge Caps To Look Like Plywood
Chopsaw replied to jarrex's topic in General Q & A
Just wanted to clarify if both layers were using the exact same settings... If you made a copy of the existing layer with the inverted bump map or got a stock material file from the library. I am not much of a materials guy but like to see the software working correctly and be user friendly. -
Standing Metal Seam with PBR Causes Ridge Caps To Look Like Plywood
Chopsaw replied to jarrex's topic in General Q & A
Great work ! Unfortunately it will really mess up your material list but you might be able to work with that as long as you are aware. It would be good to get to the bottom of the issue though. Do you have one inverted and one regular bump map ? Perhaps @CADustin could comment if this is a material issue or a rendering problem that should be sent to tech support. -
Bring it into your plan file and delete all the surfaces of the unwanted piece and then recreate the symbol.
-
No but you can draw one manually and convert it to a symbol and then assign that to be used in an automatic railing if you like.
-
Yes absolutely. You can draw on one and have 3D on the other or a window for ALDO, LB, PB, etc with a 3D or elevation view or even reference material or another program.. But be careful you don't get carried away or you will want 3 screen like me. I sometimes have 4 live views running simultaneously.

Would two Rich Text Boxes work for what you are doing ?

-
Yes check the Rich Text Paragraph Options

Attic walls don't go up to the underside of the roof?
Chopsaw replied to bdillard's topic in General Q & A
That might be difficult to strip down to 14 MB without making a mess. Just upload to your cloud account and post the link here so we can download it. -
You can go and change your Material Default after the fact but that would be the long way to do it for sure. Not that the half post is the first detail that you would logically think about.

Terrain discontinuous in backclipped section
Chopsaw replied to LightHouse_Doug's topic in General Q & A
That would certainly solve the problem. It should at least generate a clip or section line and I think it would make a lot more sense to most people. -
Terrain discontinuous in backclipped section
Chopsaw replied to LightHouse_Doug's topic in General Q & A
If you cut a section of a natural terrain condition it is quite likely that you will have some "ground" that slopes away from the camera and some that slopes toward the camera. If it is sloping toward the camera you should see a continuous section line. If it is sloping away from the camera it will appear transparent since you are looking at the underside of the surface. Try it on a simple slope with a camera facing each way. -
Try a transparent symbol set to " Insert into Wall "... Set the insertion depth to the full wall thickness and then use the " Edit Wall Cutout Polyline" tool.

Terrain discontinuous in backclipped section
Chopsaw replied to LightHouse_Doug's topic in General Q & A
Yes it works well shooting an elevation towards and up slope but unfortunately the terrain is transparent from the underside so it disappears from the view of the camera when looking at the underside. Perhaps a suggestion that the transparency could be optional for a specific camera would help us all out ? -
Force railing to place posts at 96" rather equidistant
Chopsaw replied to divreig's topic in General Q & A
If the railing is reversible, symmetrical on both sides you can simply place a wall break at 2' and then reverse one of the two sections and it should hold that way with a Newel Post at 2'. Otherwise you would need to place as short room divider perpendicular to the railing. -
Sure how do you want the display to look ?
-
Are you using multiple monitors ? Maybe try "Reset Side Windows" in Preferences.
