  1. I don't see any reason why that could not be draw quite quickly in an elevation view with polyline solids and then just multi copied across the space at a preset interval. Change material to your liking.
  2. Javatom, I also played with the plan file for a while and could not resolve the issue, as there are a lot of factors at play here. Maybe I will go back to it and try this option. Did you try the Ellipse on Mark's file? Mark, I think I have the theory right but need to go to the hardware store for some more caulk. I will talk to you tomorrow after I get some sleep.
  3. Just working with your original suggestion javatom and an Ellipse can be corrected to be a circle then converted to a "Hole in Roof". Is that what you were suggesting? Because if it will work it seems easier than a temporary work plan.
  4. Or if you want something custom define a brick wall with a finish layer of stucco and move the brick to the main layer, then use a wall material region or custom backsplash set to " Cut Finish Layers of Parent Object" and then delete all the material layers to show your brick.
  5. To take advantage of the other new features of X8 you can always open the layout box and switch it back or do that just before printing.
  6. I think once you check the save in plan box then unchecking it takes no effect until you close and reopen the plan or possibly even do a save as. Can't remember for sure.
  7. Is it not centered on the window by default? And then you would just indent the shorter line if you do not want it justified left. I think this can be addressed with a macro and then Michael and Joe just jumped me so I will leave you in their care.
  8. Sorry it seems to be a common problem with NVIDIA and I am not sure what the ultimate solution is but it has been discussed many times before here on the forum if you want to try searching some more back through the history. Not sure if it is better or not but AMD does not seem to give options and just assumes it is superior and takes control. Tech is still open if you have SSA.
  9. NVIDIA has settings within their control panel. Right click on desktop to find it.
  10. Yes, the same theory holds true for that situation. Make sure that the 9 1/4" box is not highlighted and click once below the layer indicator arrow on the layer illustration. And yes it would be nice to be able to reorganize a multi layer setup but just to be able to build it the way you want should help.
  11. I just noticed that this seems to have come up again in another thread on the forum, so hoping this helps to clarify the current situation.
  12. Scott, I have also been getting that warning recently with the Windows 10 players. It may not be related to OBS so try to reboot your machine and if that does not work send me your Skype name and we can check your settings over. Also check to see if you can play with Windows Media Player as that usually works for me but ultimately you want your videos to play on whatever player your client wants to play it on.
  13. Default Settings > CAD > General Cad
  14. Well that was easy. Settings > Privacy > Microphone > Choose Apps that can use your Microphone > Turn on for applicable app. Not quit sure how that got turned off but it works now.
  15. CA Core Catalog. Single Basin Laundry Sink.
  16. Scott, If you figure out the problem with your mic please let me know because I think I have a related problem that my mic works on my PC in Windows 10 with Voice Recorder but for some reason quit working on my laptop the other day with the same setup but also works in both situations with other apps. If you are looking for a great free screen recorder to get you back up and running, I am using OBS Studio and love it. https://obsproject.com/ I can get you up and running with settings for 1080p if you like, just let me know.
  17. Save the whole plan file as a template plan. It will be there every time you open the template ready for modification.
  18. Here is some work that Rich did likely using the same technique as Warren. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/10348-false-ceiling-design/#comment-91269 You may have to experiment with an emissive material on the bar top. Or try out this custom fixture and inset it into the Bar top and it may help you get started. You may need to adjust the Attenuation depending on the other light sources. Bar Top Light.calibz
  19. You are both quite welcome as I think I struggled with that for quite a while until it came up on the forum.
  20. Did you try this? https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/12083-3d-camera-views-go-into-orbit-how-to-stop/#comment-103694
  21. This can be fixed by a setting in Preferences.
  22. Here is a video that was done in another program that I felt could be done in Chief Architect even better and is along the lines of what you are asking maybe. This would require supplementary editing software but nothing very complex.
  23. I am unable to check on my computer right now but the "Eldorado Stone" catalogue has a reasonable selection of brick samples.
  24. Yes, I believe that is correct and often is very confusing for users. If the camera view is open then the camera will display even if the layer is turned off.
  25. Do you have the camera view open?
