  1. @kauai7 should be able to assist or advise. Send him a Personal Message.
  2. I believe the cut off point was X8 for those older formats. However you may be able to bring them forward with the free X8 Client viewer. Here is a link for that:
  3. Maybe rename the existing x11 file just in case tech support wants to look at it.
  4. I have a "CoreLineStyes.calib" file that is dated 12/27/2016. It obviously has not been updated in a while. You could retrieve it from your X10 folder and put it into your X11 folder to see if it has been corrupted some how. This would be that path : C:\ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X10\Core Libraries.
  5. Do you still have x10 installed so you can check if they are working there ?
  6. Looks Beautiful Here. Actually it looks better than the screen capture for some reason.
  7. Is your Library somewhere other than your C: drive perhaps ?
  8. If everything you try is a solid line then there must be a referencing issue I would think. Are your Core Catalog Line Styles intact ? Maybe also check to see if any of your custom line styles are in your user library. How does the new Line Style Management DBX look ? Possibly empty ?
  9. Ok thanks guys. I do have a separate layer set for sections but don't think there is a good way to hide them without precision masking if a view actually shows one in a side wall section as well as a elevation view of the far wall that is required. It seems if the section actually goes through the door you get one on each side that is an inch away from the door surface. I will at least see what Brain has to say as it seems no one will miss them.
  10. Ok so it is a cad standard ? It just looked like a stray line until I tracked it to the Opening Indicators Layer. It seems like a rather unnecessary detail compared to some of the things that are missing in the software.
  11. First time I have noticed this but is this how you indicate a door in section view ? I don't mind seeing the hinges but not so sure about the three lines.
  12. Notice when the article was updated ? That is a new option in X11. Previous versions are restricted to the size of the recording window. In X10 I was able to combine the area of all three of my 1080 monitors to almost produce a 4K walkthrough video. Not necessary to go through that trouble now.
  13. Video takes a lot to render. I just ran one at about 1 frame per second. It will depend a bit on settings and file content but you will always get your video card hot. Wait till you get a chance to try a 4K rendered video. This is why not many people do video and those that do charge a lot.
  14. Yes you can overlay two doors. Just insert them both into the same wall and center one on the other. It may have been updated in X11 but have not thoroughly tested it. It used to require one to be offset slightly from the other usually just 1/16" is adequate and elevation is the least noticeable. Let us know how it goes.
  15. Yes you got it. I did not want to put any extra distractions in the plan file. Yes I don't really get it either but I think it covers them when they just whip something off in less than and hour and don't want to take responsibility if they missed something. I think the engineer is really just signing off that it will not fall down if properly assembled and supported. Not analyzing the layout to see if it is accurate, if he is good he may notice a glaring error but really I think they just look at the spans and the snow lading and the center to center measurements and sign off. Yes so far but still feeling things out to find a solution.
  16. No I would never do that intentionally. Well I might have done it once before but not this time. Yes I am not sure I have seen this other than with a Dutch Gable Roof without going back and checking old plan files. Have you ? Yes they do that here as well and it is required for permitting, However they frequently make mistakes and are now requiring signatures and take no responsibility for the layout. Have you ever had an engineered layout back with duplicate trusses detailed out on separate pages ? I have been using chief truss details to confirm the envelope dimensions as even if I am not the one who signs I am usually consulted and trusses are expensive and not good for much other than kindling if they are wrong. Thanks for taking a look at the file.
  17. Are you sure it is not just a matter of a few layers or layer sets that got messed up ? Layout files can be relinked.
  18. You could come very close to that by just changing the scale of the existing stock material. 16 x 2 11/16" would be 1.33x 24 x 4" would be 2x
  19. Sorry this seems to be specific to a Dutch Gable roof configuration. I will send it in if there is not a logical explanation. Here is a quickie X11 test plan if you want to have a look. Mirrored Trusses -Dutch Gable test.plan
  20. Has any one figured out what causes mirrored or reflected roof trusses that are identical to sometimes have a separate detail and label and other times not ? This seems like a bug as I cant think of a reason for it.
  21. It is not really a sun angle but that little red and blue arrow thingy can be turned off in the Light DBX under the Light Data tab down at the bottom "Show Position In Camera View" It would be really nice to have a layer for those so they don't need to all be toggled individually when you have a bunch.
  22. It seem to still be better to explode your text and leader lines before importing but that was what they were trying to fix.
  23. They did some work on that issue for X11 but I believe there are still a few more bugs to work through before it works perfectly. Did you set you default font to match when importing to chief ?
  24. It is supposed to. What video card are you running on that machine and is Chief recognizing it. Mine has always just worked but there are others here that can help you with the setup or diagnosis if it is not working properly. Mine will actually peak out at 100% at times when recording PBR.
  25. If you actually want to send to an AutoCad user then check the export file with the free Auto Desk DWG Trueview Viewer. https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg
