When exporting plan file as a dwg how is scale set? I export at 1/4"=1' or 1'=1' and when opened in DWG viewer all dimensions are inches. A 3' opening is 3" wide in DWG view in both exported scales.

Transoms will drive your window budget off the chart, usually transom are at least 50%-100% of the cost of unit below. If price no object, I like the transom look.

As many advise on this site, build the model as it is in the real world.

build new floor/start from blank plan/ draw deck on outside of building/adjust floor level from dbx. That one took about 5 minutes or less. I'm sure others will have other alternatives. Maybe build deck in new floor plan and save as symbol is another thought.

Turn off "roof auto rebuild roof", go to default settings/roof and uncheck box. Next, raise ceiling in room dbx. https://video.chiefarchitect.com/?search=tray+ceiling

Set your roof default pitch at 5/12, open dbx of each wall on garage and select roof, change roof pitch to 4/12 (unselect "gabel roof" to allow change of pitch and after pitch change re-select gabel roof) and it will auto build roofs all day long. 235 St Francis Hip Roof 03182016 mine.zip

I have tried to download your file from both of your posts and file is corrupt. After download and unzip when I try to open it version 17 pops up and tells me you're using version 18 and I can't open it.
