  1. It took about 5-8 min, all it was is the use of a few plugins. Pipe along the path, Extrusion plugins, and Radial bend... If you take the time you can make that chair to look better than in the picture. That said I wouldn't even consider modeling anything in chief other than basic stuff you can slap together in a few minutes. Chief is not for making 3D furniture models or anything else for that matter, it's a drafting program to make plans, etc Making 3D models especially with curves, etc it's to time-consuming because if it takes you 30 min to make something in Chief, it will take you 5 min in Sketchup because it's a model making software and all of the plugins are free (95% of them). As an example take a look at this plugin it costs a little bit but the number of things you can create just by putting a few minor details together.
  2. GF, I'm not that good with videos but here is a quick chair I made for you in SketchUp. I didn't get into the details much (have a family function) but maybe you can use it. Merry Christmas! ChairCA.calibz
  3. Beautiful job as always! Merry Christmas my friend to you and your family!
  4. You don't need to export CA symbols to SketchUp, if you have SketchUp you can build that chair inside Sketchup in 5 min.
  5. Inkscape is free and it's an awesome program.
  6. Customers pay me from personal funds... the work you going to do does not cost 10-100k, whatever you charge you should get the money upfront, this way you don't have to chase them around for your money and them coming up with a bunch of excuses.
  7. Thank you guys, I will do that! Happy Thanksgiving!

  15. When you in 3D warehouse on the right you will see model info. Click on the Materials and you will see the only material is there is stainless steel. The rest is SKM texture files. They are Texture file used by SketchUp, saved in a compressed.ZIP format and contain XML texture property files and they don't display in CA.
  16. X2 What Mick said... I would never do a corner like that, the only good part about this corner it will save you a trip to Niagra Falls.
