  1. Thanks Perry! Maybe that is why I am having problem installing. I didn't get the notification yet.
  2. I can't update my desktop for nothing... laptop didn't have any issues, but Win 7 pro on my desktop it's not happening and there is no fixes yet... but since windows 7 Pro run like a swiss clock without any issues whats so ever, I guess I'll stick to an old saying "if its not broken, don't fix it" Will see what happens down the road.
  3. Why is this set up that way to begin with? I could never get that part. If I put a basement with 2 stories above and I want to change the basement height, it should move all the floors up without changing anything other than pushing everything up the height of basement wall. If I want to change the first floor ceiling from 8' to 9' it should bump the upper floor with the roof up 1' without changing anything above or below.
  4. Go to a 3d Warehouse and enter GE in search and you will find many models for GE appliances and do the same for other manufacturers... There is also a logo bar with all the manufacturers, you can use that and you will find all available product collections for each manufacturer
  5. Updated laptop with windows 8.1 with no issues, tried to update my Desktop with windows 7pro, its not happening, getting an error code with data migration problem. No fixes yet available so will have to wait and see.
  6. I made this chimney cap using sketchup a while back. If you can use it, welcome to it. Chimney Cap.calibz
  7. I think Larry that hallway would have to be divided in order to be resized independently. I'm not that much of an expert at this and I haven't played with it much, but I think this the only way it will work, also that hallway should be named Hallway (that could be also a problem). Because when the room is connected to another room by door CA thinks that the adjoining rooms should match as elevation goes. When you divide a room in half with divider tool, it creates 2 different spaces and you can drop one or the other independently.
  8. I hope this not being done to an actual home and it was done as one of the challenges here to create that condition, because not only it looks ugly and it sticks out like a sore thumb, not to mention I don't know what HO would settle for that look, because it looks like a botched up design. Furthermore having the roof abut brick and siding at that location will cause nothing but problems down the road.
  9. I think you guys use and squeeze out of CA so much that it became possessed. LOL
  10. Use Room Divider tool and adjust floor elevation as needed.
  11. Thanks Mark! I could definitely use that.
  12. I see it now Larry with all on, what the hell is that and were it came from...Sure beats me, that never happened to me yet.
  13. Larry I opened that plan up and everything is clean as it should be. I don't see anything what you show in the picture, unless the zip file has already cleaned up plan with the walls in question already deleted.
  14. I know nobody likes to turn down a job, but sometimes when you see a red flag that is the best thing you can do... Done that a few times and it turned out to be the best decision I made.
  15. Ray, I couldn't agree with you more. The stair and railing design capability's are ancient.
  16. Rich I tried making it using P-solid, but it takes time and lots of tweaking, basically its a pain in the A$$... Still not perfect and need some more tweaking so it looks perfect at all angles, but its doable if you want to spend time on it.. I'm not that good at it and this is the first time I tried doing that...Maybe someone else can do it better, in less time doing it another way, but here is what I got The treads and risers are individual p-solids, the side stringers are also... If you want to make it enclosed all you have to do is lower the back to the terrain level.
  17. Post a plan, it would be easier to figure out what you have there.
  18. By looking at your picture, it looks like your upper gable is not connected to lower gable, since its not connected The Lower Wall Type If Split (what Curt suggested) will not work.
  19. Mick, did you do that manually? A few times I tried to make something like this and I couldn't figure out how to insert something in the middle, like you did.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, you pony wall thickness is off. You only have 4" of brick, its missing framing, sheetrock, sheeting, air gap, etc If you edit all the walls you created it will connect without creating that problem in the corner... That corner that you see is the corner stud of the adjoining wall, also make sure your walls line up with the footing below. Ray told you how to make a brick ledge, here is a the Brick Ledge Moulding profile if you want to use. Just use a line tool and make the width you need and I would turn the ends 1" or so to get a nice return on end sides. Brick Ledge Profile.calibz
  21. Thanks Scott! I also always painted walls and everything else and never had any issues or problems... But when I saw Perry say not to paint and use wall def, I thought it makes layers.
  22. Perry, what happens when you paint a wall? Would that add another layer?
