Dave in a free version you can set up 5 annotations and point out certain home features to your customers, it also makes more easy to navigate. Check out the paid version is very cheap, its only $10 a month. Its worth to upgrade and be able to do much more with it.

Don't seems to have any issues here. Just ran the video for the first time and it seems everything is working. I would check settings. Good luck

I see what I was doing wrong, now when I select the room again with the tool, the wall comes in as SQ FT not number of boards

Joey, I don't know what your settings are, but for W2 I get the color W1 I get ceiling, but I'm missing walls for some reason and thats using the tool. I must be missing something.

Hi Larry, Yes, you're right...I just checked the stairs, I just dropped the stairs in. I wasn't concerned about them, I made it for display only, so the customer can get an idea what that structure looks like and how its being attached to the foundation.

If I'm not mistaken it started out as 3d CAD and after the name was changed to 3d home architect and I think it was sold by Broderbund products (this going back to early 2000). I think the last version of that was 18 or something like this.and after in late 2000 Chief Architect surfaced. With that said, if I need a quick a symbol I will make it in Chief, if I need more detailed symbol I will use sketchup, its faster, more options, better capability, etc frankly speaking it was designed for modeling. Even CA using 3d party software to make library models.

If you talking about there is no cut out for the dormers inside, you have to select the area and specify as an attic space. to get your dormer wall cutout

I don't think you can make that work... Unless someone else has the answer... If I want to get the glass to be see through in Ortho view, I use remove surface tool and take the glass out in windows or doors. You can do the same and just have the frame showing, most will get a general idea that glass is there.
