  1. The Angled wall is messed up it seems and they are all facing the wrong way so I copied Door to another wall temporarily deleted angled wall ( and existing door) reversed the two remaining walls and rejoined on 45° angle using diamond extend handle copied door back into angled wall. At least I think that was all the steps.... * I don't have X11 installed so I had a look with X13
  2. Alan posted in that thread..... I bumped it up again , just now so we can try again for X14 Not to me obviously sorry.... I believe you are right it is Hardcoded, I have always thought the the wall's snapping (together) distance was the Wall's thickness or about 6" for exterior Walls, which as noted can also be an issue. M.
  3. Yeah the Dropdown would be very handy for some of us , I still think something has changed though, nevermind what TS said.... since I have not changed the way I work.... M.
  4. The Bump distance is not Hard-Coded, it is whatever you set in Plan Defaults > Plan ..... for your Snap Unit ... I find I change it 2- 4 times a day, depending on what I am doing , that was why I made a Suggestion for a Dropdown with perhaps 5 preset distances we could alter as we'd like ... I had hoped to see it in X13 actually.... * looks like you posted while I was writing....
  5. I have been having the same "Issue" in X13 ...did not encounter in X12 myself, not sure if they updated the Room Divider Wall Definition or ??? ( walls always connect on their centerline, unless they are a "Partition type", which can be an issue in some cases ) M.
  6. NOTE: Nvidia have discontinued support for all Kepler based cards with this Driver , ie most 600 and 700 Series Cards.NVIDIA officially discontinues Game Ready driver support for Kepler GPUs - VideoCardz.com There is also reports that they have apparently discontinued STANDARD Drivers as well according to some reports aligning with Windows 11and that all Drivers must be DCH based. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version: 496.13 WHQL Release Date: 2021.10.12 Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 Language: English (US) File Size: 830.29 MB DCH Desktop : https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/181095/en-us DCH Notebook/Laptop : https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/181096/en-us Mick.
  7. If that is the 700 Series Titan? , I have more bad news as of today Nvidia has discontinued Support for the 600 and 700 Series Cards in the latest Drivers and they have apparently discontinued STANDARD Drivers as well according to some reports aligning with Windows 11 and that all Drivers must be DCH based. NVIDIA officially discontinues Game Ready driver support for Kepler GPUs - VideoCardz.com M.
  8. Not at all, you are talking above a totally different Issue, we are discussing Missing Toolbars ....not messed up Toolbars ....in this thread, .....which I only saw myself in Early Beta versions of X13 but not since the full Release of X13 , unfortunately I don't know what changed , though my monitors haven't.
  9. neither iPads or Android Tablets ( Samsung? ) can run Chief as far as I know ( call in and confirm Monday) , Chief no longer supports Mobile Devices with Room Planner etc either, some like Rene are using the Microsoft Surface Devices though. Mick.
  10. Did you check if they are turned on?
  11. It's normal.... as Chief adds Cross Section Lines to all Elevation Views and they also go to the CAD Detail when exported, so you can end up with 2-3 layers of lines. M.
  12. I'd suggest looking at how to do Dormers Manually , there seems to be way less issues doing your own...... this should get you started , try it in a new Plan , then try it in a saved as version of your House Plan. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00449/creating-a-manual-wall-dormer.html M.
  13. Since you do have X13 I just finished posting the whole library to the Symbols forum here :
  14. I made these for a Thread in Q+A , so thought I'd post all the pieces as a Library for Others here, I made it with the Brizo Tilting Mirror Arms (only and included) and an Oval Mirror from one of Chief's Bonus Libraries to try an match this image supplied by the Client..... LIBRARY ITEMS *** Made with X13 ..... lower versions won't be able to Open the library. File : MHD_Tilting and Oval Framed Mirrors.calibz
  15. Here you go , this was made with the Brizo Arms ( from library above ) and an Oval Mirror from one of Chief's Bonus Libraries' Framed tilting Mirror : MHD_Tilting Oval Framed Mirror.calibz Mick.
  16. the Brizo Library has one though it is not Oval , I don't think it'd take much to make one from an Oval Mirror and some p.solids for Legs M.
  17. "Resistance is Futile" ( so said the Borg ....and M$ ) M.
  18. I am surprised your newish computer it is not already using UEFI/GPT, that's on the Builder, unless the Disks were just brought over from an even older system, all newer systems should be using UEFI these days.... only the Boot drive needs to be GPT , Free use Utilities like MiniTool Partition Wizard or Easus will also easily do this without Data loss. M.
  19. a .jfif was a new one on me for sure..... There was a Thread on doing these Shower wall types earlier this year...... OK finally found it ...I used a re-configured Railing in this post.....(get download for railing) the rest of the thread has other Ideas too. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/31295-setting-default-cabinet-frame-and-panel-thickness/?do=findComment&comment=246884
  20. Sounds like worth a report Gene , since Mark was able to duplicate the Issue. M.
  21. Probably my choice too but I'd make a copy of your default Ext. and Int. Walls and change the Interior drywall to 1/16th thick the Black metal material ( Library ) and change the Default Wall Material Region to 1/2" or 5/8 Drywall with the cut parent option on , then with one click on each wall you will have drywall and just need to pull the region down at the top the required Reveal (1/2"?). * I guess it's pretty much the same thinking about it, but was thinking this might be easier than dealing with 1/2" thick MR's up at the ceiling.
  22. It maybe that your SSD/NVME/HDD is currently using an MBR Disk Partition Type rather than GPT which UEFI needs, but there is a free built in converter in Windows 10, which does not loss any Data , though it would be prudent to use Macrium Reflect or some other type of Imaging Backup type Program 1st just in case. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-convert-mbr-disk-gpt-move-bios-uefi-windows-10 https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024558/memory-and-storage/intel-optane-memory.html https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt Mick.
  23. I suspect a Layer Issue in this particular case unlike the other Thread here : https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/31870-why-are-my-cabinet-labels-disappearing/?tab=comments#comment-253406 Mick
  24. I believe She means Premier X10 , so the answers maybe slightly different than if X13 was in use. Mick.
  25. I was wondering why the Detail you showed didn't show Ceiling or Wall linings..... With Chief's Room based paradigm and everything being life sized 3D Objects , you really want to build your structures ( walls, Floor Structures, Roofs Planes etc) just like they are built in real life otherwise you will (could) see weird things happening as all those structures interact with a Wall's Main Layer to some degree. M.
