  1. you could also perhaps find a 2nd hand 900 or 10 Series Nvidia Card, eg a 970GTX or 1070GTX, both will work similar to X12 cameras ( *only 2000 and 3000 series Nvidia cards can use the latest X13 features ) M.
  2. You have not done you Forum Signature so I don't know where you are located ? or what other hardware you have , so it is a bit hard to help and most of the links I see are for the USA.
  3. It'd be best to report to Tech. Support with a copy of your Plan file , suggestions , may or may not ever be acted on.... Thanks, M.
  4. No this is a Nvidia GT 730 , it is no good for X13 either try searching for RX 560D-4G or Yeston AMD Radeon RX 560 Graphics Card M.
  5. You are Welcome...good luck.
  6. Some people have replaced their 710/720 GT cards with this AMD Card fairly cheaply. AMD RX 560D-4G 4GB GDDR5 https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-RX560OC-4GD-rev-10/sp#sp https://www.xfxforce.com/gpus/amd-radeon-tm-rx-560-4gb-14cu-single-fan-2 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-560d.c2990 Mick.
  7. I didn't mean the 3060 was an issue , maybe that came across wrong?, it is more about future-proofing and tradeoffs for productivity like going Dual Monitor, and as always when buying a new computer , what the budget will bear. And if the computer is used for other activities ...eg some casual ( or high-end) gaming. Mick.
  8. I am not sure how many speak Spanish here , best to use English if you can or use Google Translate..... Hello, thanks for the answer, ... if I tell you that I am working on x13 so far, ... and also the monitor that I am using is a 32 "TV screen ... I don't know if that is what It is affecting me .... because maybe a tv is not the minimum that a monitor for pc .. The TV should work fine , but your VideoCard won't with X13 , see my reply above.
  9. The GT 710 does not support Shader Model 6 which is required for x13 new 3D Engine ( Astral ) https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gt-710.c1990 Nvidia also stopped supporting Kepler GPUs ( most 600 and 700 series Cards,) with this weeks Driver Update to 496.13 Not sure if you have a laptop but the 710 can be replaced if in a Desktop.....a few people have used AMD Cards to get Shader Model 6 compatibility. M.
  10. That was my 2nd thought and why I wanted to look at a test Plan , but it sounds like it needs reporting so they can Clean it up, hopefully in the next X13 update. M.
  11. Yep an oldy but goody if you need Dashed lines below grade. M.
  12. My guess would be from the Automatic Description , which is normally Supplied by the Symbol Name , so opening it and changing it may do it? It does look like (PULL) is being added to every entry though even the knobs , so there maybe a bug , so maybe post a small test Plan so People can have a "play" and figure it out M.
  13. I don't think anyone "needs" the highest end GPU and most like yourself with a 10 Series card or equivalent will get the same 3D Views as X12, and had I had foresight for my personal situation I may have waited till X14 or ? myself. However we are talking about purchasing a new Computer here , and currently getting a pre-made Computer is the cheapest way to obtain a 3000 Series VideoCard, and there would be no point buying anything less than a 3060 these days, though I'd likely get a 3070 or 3070Ti if I was buying for Chief only. Like you I haven't used CPU Raytracing , since we got PBR Cameras due to the huge speed difference and the new Light engine ( Astral ) is trying to give us the best of both worlds, though just like PBR or CPU-RT , PBR-RT is NOT a 1 Click and done Option like some of the Videos allude too. M.
  14. I normally make the Layout Box Borders Layer Orange > display them , then delete them. Then resave the Layout and it should have no referenced Plan files then. M.
  15. It's all about your budget , and while the 3060 will run Chief , Chief is now recommending a 3080 in Desktops and a 3070 for Notebooks/Laptops, but if getting this lets you go dual monitor it might be a trade off that is worth it, ( I'd recommend dual ( identical) monitors for sure) as you could replace the 3060 at some point in the future. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/products/sysreq.html
  16. you can turn the Auto rails off , in the Stairs DBX, and draw your own Manual Railing on top of the Stairs if needed. M.
  17. Your 1st link doesn't work...... Personally I use multiple 32" monitors too but they are 2K (2560x1440) to take advantage of the extra screen size not 1980x1080 (FHD). At 1080p you will find the Pixel density pretty low and lines and text wont appear as Crisp as at 1440p , most places recommend somewhere in the 100-110ppi range though I find no issues at 1440p. https://lcdtech.info/en/data/pixel.size.htm Mick. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Screen Size Screen Resolution Pixel Density Optimal Viewing Distance 24″ 1920×1080 92 PPI 37″ (94cm) 24″ 2560×1440 122 PPI 28″ (71cm) 24″ 3840×2160 184 PPI 19″ (48cm) 27″ 1920×1080 82 PPI 42″ (107cm) 27″ 2560×1440 109 PPI 32″ (81cm) 27″ 3840×2160 163 PPI 21″ (53cm) 32″ 1920×1080 70 PPI 49″ (124cm) 32″ 2560×1440 93 PPI 37″ (94cm) 32″ 3840×2160 140 PPI 25″ (64cm) 29″ UltraWide 2560×1080 96 PPI 36″ (91cm) 34″ UltraWide 2560×1080 82 PPI 42″ (107cm) 34″ UltraWide 3440×1440 110 PPI 31″ (79cm) 38″ UltraWide 3840×1600 111 PPI 31″ (79cm) 43″ 3840×2160 104 PPI 33″ (84cm) 49″ 32:9 5120×1440 109 PPI 32″ (81cm) 49″ 32:9 3840×1080 81 PPI 42″ (107cm) What’s the bottom line? For the best viewing experience, we recommend displays with a pixel density close to 110 PPI. At this pixel per inch ratio, you get plenty of screen space and sharp details without having to use any scaling.
  18. Might need to post the PDF ...has the PDF been Flattened? ie. is all one Layer? Or try the old Transform > Resize Method........Scaling Images or PDFs.pdf
  19. Does X11 have Point to point resize? ( sorry can't remember and don't have it installed anymore ) https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00018/tracing-over-an-imported-file-to-create-a-3d-floorplan.html#Resize
  20. The Angled wall is messed up it seems and they are all facing the wrong way so I copied Door to another wall temporarily deleted angled wall ( and existing door) reversed the two remaining walls and rejoined on 45° angle using diamond extend handle copied door back into angled wall. At least I think that was all the steps.... * I don't have X11 installed so I had a look with X13
  21. Alan posted in that thread..... I bumped it up again , just now so we can try again for X14 Not to me obviously sorry.... I believe you are right it is Hardcoded, I have always thought the the wall's snapping (together) distance was the Wall's thickness or about 6" for exterior Walls, which as noted can also be an issue. M.
  22. Yeah the Dropdown would be very handy for some of us , I still think something has changed though, nevermind what TS said.... since I have not changed the way I work.... M.
  23. The Bump distance is not Hard-Coded, it is whatever you set in Plan Defaults > Plan ..... for your Snap Unit ... I find I change it 2- 4 times a day, depending on what I am doing , that was why I made a Suggestion for a Dropdown with perhaps 5 preset distances we could alter as we'd like ... I had hoped to see it in X13 actually.... * looks like you posted while I was writing....
  24. I have been having the same "Issue" in X13 ...did not encounter in X12 myself, not sure if they updated the Room Divider Wall Definition or ??? ( walls always connect on their centerline, unless they are a "Partition type", which can be an issue in some cases ) M.
