Since Beta , I've had Issues with X12 plans in X13 ......totally X13 plans seem ok as far as this 3D Error, not sure what is cause the random lockups though as those plans I believe are ALL X13. I have never seen a Nvidia Driver lockup , so am not if the TDR Fix will help? , but I do not, like you, see Errors in other Programs with 3D or otherwise. M.

This is also my experience to date with the "Lost Device Error" on Win10 and a 3080 though I occassionaly get a "invalid parameter" Error in 3D as well I am also having issues though with Chief locking up for 3-9 mins randomly, which is a major time waster. While trying to find the issue with Task Manager etc I noticed Chief was actually trying to do an Autosave with the file being stuck at 0kb until it finally recovers , coincidence I don't know? But I have decided to reinstall Chief this weekend with the hope next week will be less problematic. Mick.

Chief no longer has the 8 light limit , hasn't had for several versions now, I have it set to 200 in my Template plan , so I don't need to change it every time I shoot a Camera...... Mick.

Yes it seems CA is focused on the combo of X13, 3000 series Nvidia cards and Windows 11 and it isn't the case for many on the Forum I also have the 2070 in my Laptop but mostly use my Desktop nowadays which has Win10 and a 3080 , and I usually see crashes opening 3D views in X12 started Plans , which thankfully are becoming fewer and fewer but I just opened a plan off the Forum this morning which turned out to be from X12 which crashed the computer and generated a 2.3GB Crashdump file.... when I clicked on the Full Overview Camera button all 3 monitors turned off instantly with no signal and would not comeback on...... and I am pretty sure it's not the plan file in particular or the OP wouldn't of been able to work on it.... https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/33121-stem-wall-not-cutting-away-when-adding-garage-door/?tab=comments#comment-259256 *** Driver Version 511.17 in use.

There are a couple of (watermarked) Student examples in the academic Section of the Main Website otherwise you can also download Sample plans and Layouts from the Samples Gallery too. Unless they have update something recently.... M.

I would check Dells website too as that is an older model ( 10th gen and 2070 Super ) same as my laptop ( see sig.) which is well over a year old now and it was $2200 back then. *** the Nvidia Card will eat the battery quickly doing anything 3D so best to work plugged in as some laptops will even switch back to the Intel card automatically when on battery to save power. Did you look into the Nahimic Issue Rob ? I know many Dells use their software ( and Command Center) as do other computer manufacturers like Asus with my laptop where it was the issue too, though it is a year old now and only has a 2070 Super , not a 3080 , and I usually work on the Desktop these days , since being "mobile" ain't that safe. Like you I feel like I wasted a bunch of Cash on new hardware this time around and think Astral was released a version too early, especially since X12 was looking real nice to most even in Standard View. **Buy a few years of SSA while you can for a 5% off bonus. Today's Driver release was because Nvidia released a new 3080 12GB Model today and works with the 3060Ti as well , but I am not sure about other Models, they are reportedly working on a new (full) release for the 14th I read elsewhere (EVGA Forum) too. M.

At least for me 511.09 is a very slow Driver - frame Rate wise , it was released 1.4.22 not 1.10.22 The newer driver , at least for 3080 Series is 511.17 and was released today and my Frame Rates are back to normal. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

Yes, that would have a (bad) effect if that Info is in Chief as Elevation Lines ( vs CAD line) , you will see all sorts of weirdness , with holes and spikes etc too possibly. Mick.

Might depend on whether he means the Stand-alone Client Viewer or the Online 3D Viewer David...... even the Online Viewer has issues in X13 unfortunately. M.
