Nice Image Ericepv ......are the Table Lamps On in X10? they appear to be in the X9 Image.... I agree with Graham it looks like they were so intent on get PBR to work they Forgot to check what their "fixes" for PBR were doing to RT , eg removing Reflective Materials properties. ( Or they thought RT would be obsolete with PBR and so are phasing it out) M.

The Matrix says you Do...... What Version are you using ? do your Signature Please.... Are you in a 3D View? It's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

Post the Plan and Post your other Details.... or do your signature.... Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

Since you have X9, Wall Material Regions would be the best way as Michael mentioned , you can copy and paste the strips etc in Elevation so once you have the First one it is pretty quick. Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

Yep sounds a bit Strange ....not one I have come across , just one particular Plan or all of them? Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

I have come across the PaperSpace Issue and the White LineWork on Chief's White Background Issue before , changing Chief's background to grey may help. ( in Preferences ). It may help to have them export the File after Flattening it for you to trace/import too? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Flatten-3D-model-to-2D.html https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-flatten-a-drawing-so-all-linework-is-at-an-elevation-of-0.html http://cadtips.cadalyst.com/object-properties/tips-help-flatten-objects

It maybe like the Nvidia Driver Issue ,especially if you have Tabs missing in DBXs too and can't access them , Driver Versions in the 388. Series can cause Issues in X9. Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

If you do a lot of Decks sure , you can have as many template Plans and their associated Layout as you want. Layout Page 0 is your Layout Template Page though and that Info, like your Title Block , is added to all Pages following.

So you say but I and Others know better, I read a lot of Posts here ...... in particular when in combo with the wrong Nvidia Drivers.....Which I have started a thread for to help those Users , I know you are aware of that Issue. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/16205-nvidia-driver-3880-and-up-possible-fix/ I was waiting for .9 but I am not so sure that will be released now X10 is out.

Have not heard of that one before but that is a pretty old Version of CA so you make need to provide more details and some image for the Error perhaps Also, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that. In green for adding Images/pics
-
Nice Graham , all we need to do now is convince CA to give use that Mode I am still seeing ALOT of black in PBR views and have given up on it at the moment, though others seem to produce some nice Images , I have not tried the Grandview Plan though. M.

Do you have your Foundation set to Automatically build a Monolithic Slab Foundation? Build>Floor>Build Foundation> Also, as Rob mentioned, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that.

If you need a CAD Program and are Familiar with it's use to do that, then DraftSight is Free for Use ( 3DS wants you to Upgrade to the Pro Version of Course) but for occasional Use it has worked for me a few times....I don't know AutoCAD well enough to be able to help you with this Matter enough though. https://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight-cad-software/free-download/ If you're allowed to Post the DWG , someone here maybe able to get you started at least for the linework.... all I see is revision Bubbles I think? M.

They remove it from your Locker when you Update but you can usually get the latest version still of each version, on the Program Updates Page or in the Programs archive at the Bottom of this page....(assuming you know your key for reinstall) : https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/updates.html
-
Damn you too...as I said it's a "bit too smart sometimes" but thanks for the Update , look forward to hearing what they say , it really shouldn't be that difficult. M.

There is an Update Library Catalogs button/link under The Library Menu which I hit a few time each week and find a few updated ones each time... I am guessing we will need to wait for Final Release of X10 to fix some of the other issues ....might be longer ? so it might be better to do those views in X9 . ...looks good by the way....
-
Everybody is Make sure to update the Library catalogs often as CA is updating them to work in PBR Views regularly... We have also lost the Reflective Materials property in X10 , which is likely why your Floor no longer looks good, and you don't see Polished Countertops .There is a discussion on that in the Chat Room, but apparently Chief is looking into the Issue in RT's .... **** there are 5-6 missing materials , which may make things hard for others to RT

good you got it figured out , just thought I say you don't need to use PDF's to post Images you can just use the Windows Snipping Tool in Windows Accessories ( pin it to your taskbar ) for this and Save the Image to your Desktop and drag it into the Light gray area of the Reply window. M.
-
Great , glad you got it , sometimes Chief is too smart for it's own Boots

I do it in X9, as some people are having issues after loading the .8 Update ,despite it supposedly only being a change to a single Menu Item for Rental Users, so I have not installed it and don't have the issues reported. There appears to be no Update log for .8 so I am not sure what else it actually does or if something got broken? M

I had to cheat and take your quote from another post not sure why the @Chief_Content trick didn't (doesn't always) work all the time
-
It looks like saving the plan has broken the Corner again , I had to use the Join Walls tool there to get it to join nicely. There are 3 different walls there and Chief is having trouble sorting out the layer connections especially since the porch wall is 6" lower. I tried the Invisible wall break trick too to stop them connecting but it didn't help much, if at all it seemed I still had to use the Wall Layer Tool/Join tool. If you take a cross section just infront of that wall behind the stairs and select the wall you can see how it cuts into the house wall and being 6 " lower causes the issue, so here I pull that wall down in elevation and fixed the Layers above. M.

In this case the Problem wasn't your Walls , it was the way you setup the Foundation for the Porches , so I redid them and redrew the inner foundation Walls since what I thought was baseboard in your picture was actually the top of the Concrete Foundation Walls with no stucco used there instead of the standard foundation which is Block+Stucco? .....but check out the Plan as I may have Broken something else too , I did not look much further .
