  1. the Glass is cutting the Crown , that's why it is not in the Closet as those are standard 1/2 Walls. I had a play and The Trick is to make a Shelf Ceiling in Both Showers at 110" ( or whatever height you want glass too), uncheck Room has Flat Ceiling and remove the moulding from both Shower Rooms. ie no Crown or Base. Ps....there's no wall hatch cos you haven't hatched it ? or do you mean the Fill? * I think it was cos you set the Hatch in the Fill to 4" ...ie wider than the wall's main layer, and the angle was wrong? try 90° M.
  2. This is the technique.....follow the Tutorial , then you'll know how to do your Fascia Board too. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02925/using-polyline-solids.html M.
  3. It's telling you the Terrain is not Upto Date , so I assume you haven't got it set to Auto Rebuild? have a look on the the Terrain Menu, you will see the same Icon.... M.
  4. Break the Wall where it crosses under the staircase and mark the Wall "No room Definition" so you still get the drywall on the end of the full height wall. The down side is you need to use a Room Moulding Polyline to get the Base when you mark it "no room def." I use a different method than Steve but I think it should work just fine....
  5. Rename the Old Library and Import it as usual......the renaming stops CA from AutoUpdating the Folder , the downside is you have two folder of the same name most likely. I am currently doing this with the Certainteed Library as the Fiber Cement Siding is gone in X11. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/21994-oh-boymisunderstanding-on-my-part/?do=findComment&comment=179929 M.
  6. Your welcome..download the Library again if you don't have Lines in Vector view, I forgot to do them again, so reposted the library M.
  7. Don't know if it's a "decent fake" but these are from the Linked Site and then run through the Online Normal Map Maker and imported into Chief.... The Zipfile has the Texture and Normal Map etc, if you want to play as well... MHD CA Gray Standing Seam_X11.calibz Gray SS Roofing.zip
  8. Just did Larry and Rego confirm came almost immediately but was in my Spam Folder..... If you are still having problems you can contact them from the email account used. at info@sketchuptexture.com
  9. Have to agree but I think as Joe has said it looks like it is impossible with bumpmaps to give us a Texture that represents a 1" - 1 1/4" high Standing Seam. After playing in the Online Editor it seems that the twin lines of the Standing Steam Top Edge are interpreted as a dip between them not a Raised Flat. M.
  10. Ooops...... I meant they are NOT on the Terrain MenuBar , (corrected) so I added the Fence tools to my Standard Toolbar config. I was thinking Following Terrain was good actually , you should likely switch to Step Terrain though , ( the Fence Steps not the Terrain , don't worry ) which is how walls and Fences are normally done.... it's not perfect in this case though...
  11. Larry suggested this site in another thread , so I thought I'd add it here too and keep all the info like this in one Thread : https://www.sketchuptextureclub.com/textures/architecture/roofings/metal-roofs @HumbleChief
  12. It seems I was looking at the wrong side of the Building , so you are right it is highly dependant on lighting. Eric is right too, they have reused the Normal from the Ribbed Metal Roofing I think.
  13. I think so , that's how I did one of mine too... Fences follow Terrain but don't allow use of the WallCap Tab I'd hoped to use for the Stope Wall top, but for the Newels, Cap No#6 from the Library enlarged and made concrete works nicely. ( Save to Library for future use too.) *** Either Switch to the Terrain Toolbar Configuration or Add Fence Tools to your Toolbar as Fences are on the Terrain Menu Bar. M.
  14. You could download some of the plans from the Samples Gallery , eg the Lake Point Plan and use it for guidance, there is a good set of Videos that go along with that Plan Set too. There are a number of People on the Forum who offer paid help to other members too , most have posts in the Offering or Seeking Forum. Mick.
  15. It's the normal map from the X11 standard SS Material but also placed in the Bumpmap Slot of the Texture.... M.
  16. Thanks just curious , as I think most would be happy with what you show above , I just can't get it there.... unless something else is messed up here.... M.
  17. Using a Wall with a railing on top or a PonyWall seems to work.... but it's more work than it should be.... the pyramid Caps would need to be done manually , though I guess you could make a Newel symbol with the Cap and use it to automatically add the Cap.
  18. Hi Graham , can you check that this is actually what you did, as it doesn't look anything like that here......thx.
  19. This is the Converter that Faruk linked and i posted earlier in the thread..... I was messing with this morning as CA's Old Materials don't have a Normal,or bumpmap etc , but I am not really conversant with this stuff. M.
  20. I am surprised then that WinUpdate hasn't tried to update it , unless you ( or HP) have turned Drivers Off for Win Update as I do? IIRC some of the 39X.XX series had issues on Notebooks but not sure about your specific version. Did you check you Products Support Page at HP? M.
  21. If you have a "Guy" he can likely build you a better machine than the Dell for $2200-2500 and it should be more Up-gradable in the Future too. The Slade , Mark pointed you to, didn't look bad and appears to use Standard Parts (vs Dell proprietory perhaps?) , I just thought it'd need a better GFX Card , so would be in that price range too with a 2070RTX... (RTX Cards have no advantage in CA , so you could save a few bucks and get a new Gen. GFX card once CA catches up....my 1070ti seems to work just fine for example) M.
  22. Depends on what version WinUpdate/Device Manager says is in use ? and the Newest is not ALWAYS the best depending on the age of the computer, a known good Driver is 382.05 This is a thread about some issues from last year and a link to 382.05 Personally I install the Driver myself but do a Custom install as I don't need or want Geforce Experience or the 3D software etc, but Geforce Exp. will keep the Driver current for you too if you prefer to use it? I do it myself anyway and so don't install it.... M.
  23. I just realised in X11 that the Library X10 made automatically has no Patterns for Vector Views and I also adjusted the size of the Texture on the assumption that each section is 8" wide ( maybe should be 10"?), so the texture is 24x24" now not 20x20..... MHD CA Standing Seam_X11.calibz
  24. No not for the Standing Seam , I was just playing with it at the Site Faruk mentioned (below) , but I am not really sure what I am doing , and so far it looks the same..or worse... tried a texture from the Site Larry mentioned above but it seems CA is "flattening" the look....maybe just the lighting in CA X11 works differently? here: https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/22010-free-texture-with-mapes/?do=findComment&comment=179889 these are all the textures from the Library above if you want to have a play.... CA Standing Seam Textures.zip
  25. It seems like the Old textures have the same issue in X11 even though they look better as SS as .jpgs..... the old textures look like they have grooves to me in X11 instead...same as the new Textures......
