  1. This article from the Knowledge Base reviews how to build a Solarium, perhaps it would apply to your situation as well: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00454/creating-a-solarium.html#Roof
  2. Supplementing what Perry said, also check all of you walls to make sure none of them have 'No Room Definition' checked ('General' tab of the DBX for your wall).
  3. Without seeing the plan, I'd say convert the desired object to a symbol and then place your symbol into the plan on piers you have created separately.
  4. Substance Player is a great tool but you might also want to try this one for stone: https://www.stonecurators.com/stone-designer/ Also, a search for 'seamless textures' will come up with many different sites where you can download excellent quality textures of just about anything you need.

  6. I'd do what Gene suggested but you could also download one from 3D warehouse https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/models?q=privacy+screen&order=relevance&direction=desc
  7. I've done several projects like this and have always created a separate file for each structure which I then convert to a symbol and then bring that symbol into a terrain plan. For positioning the individual buildings, I have always had a site plan from the developer to work with which I import into the terrain plan. As JiAngelo Builders mentioned above, you can easily manipulate the height of the model until it is correct.

    DWG Files

From your 'Active Layer Display Options', select the 'All Layers OFF' layer set and then switch on just the layers from the DWG file. You can then select and then delete them.
  9. Here's another option I've employed several times with decent results: https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/make-seamless-texture.php
  10. Great, glad that worked for you.
  11. I just dragged them over, worked for me.
  12. There is a box to check for flush eaves, I believe it's in the structure tab.
  13. Your attic walls are either missing (1& 3) or need to be extended (others).
  14. I agree with Mark, adjusting your shade material and emissive value are the key. I also like to add a light source to enhance the scene. I made the following changes to your plan: Changed shade material to Milk Glass (General material, Emissive set at 50) Changed all 3 lights from point to spot (tilt -90, intensity 200) Finally, I added a light source (point, intensity 200) positioned at the center of your fixture (set to a 72" elevation to minimize ceiling wash) and with 'Cast Shadows' switched on Here's what I got...
  15. Make sure your video card driver is up to date https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/221007/en-us/
  16. You'll have to create a second floor if you want conditioned rooms in that space. Select 'Make new blank plan for the 2nd floor' then draw in the walls manually.
  17. You can start by letting Auto Roof draw it for you and the modify as needed. You can also select the walls for the garage and your front porch and mark them as 'Full Gable Wall' (in the roof tab of the DBX) or use the gable wall tool on the lower toolbar. Take a look at this article https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00758/generating-automatic-hip-and-gable-roofs.html
  18. This sounds like something I can help you with. Give me a call to review. Eric, 585-441-5291
  19. Where is your terrain set relative to the sub-floor of the house?
  20. A very simple way to alter the room height for just one room...
  21. I've done several projects like this, glad to help. PM sent.
