  1. I don't know that product but I think there are limitations on the size of print for that one? It may be limited to 18x24. If that works for your jurisdiction than it may work.
  2. That one is in my attic. Ink hog. Changing paper with only one tray is a pia.
  3. My needs with this printer are notime for very high quality output. This printer was under $300. Based on that, I am happy with it. The construction seems similar to others I have owned (HP or Epson). Yes, the color quality is a B or B-. Having 2 trays that I can load with about 50+ sheets of paper is awesome. The big trigger for me was getting an 11x17 scan bed so I could scan full sized sheets in 2 pieces when needed. That saves me a trip to the ups store.
  4. Arrogance? This is a forum where a good percentage of the participants went through an architectural education. I had 3 semesters of Arrogance 101, 201 and then the history of arrogance in the ancient and modern world.
  5. I think I got mine from an Office Depot store and it was in stock
  6. No problems with the doc feed on the Brother. The main thing for me that sells me on the brother are 2 paper tras and it is not an ink hog.
  7. Brother MFC-J6920DW prints just as fast on a PDF as directly from layout. Great on speed, quality and ink. Warns you about low ink and then stops on empty. Full 11x17 scan bed. Double sided printing and autofeed 11x17. Only possible drawback for some is that max paper size is 11x17. I don't ever plan for 12x18 half sized prints anyways. The locals who ask for anything less than full size only want 11x17 so it does not bother me. It is by far the best all in one I have ever owned.
  8. Try FoxIt. I am using it right now. Pretty robust with editing, signing and comments. Printing has looked good so far on both my Brother All In One type printer and HP110p.
  9. Building area also for me sometimes. That would be the FAR + decks over 24" above grade or overhangs/eaves that project farther than 18". Fireplace footprints go into the building area and FAR.
  10. Post your plan. It might be an easy fix. It might be flying monkeys (whoa, there goes another one).
  11. Also, post the plan that you are having problems with. Chances are it is not broken at all. This is most likely a U18 error.
  12. There is a back up of your file and archived saved versions in the data folder "Archive". Unless you modified the path location it will be something like: Drive: Users/"Name"/My Documents/Chief Architect Premier X7 Data/Archives Find the folder with the title of your plan file and look for a usable version.
  13. Drag the attic wall over to be long enough to cover the gable. Hit the check box for "Roof Cuts Wall at Bottom" in the Roof tab of the wall.
  14. My thought is that you should post the plan. It could be a wall layers issue. It could be the sun (lighting). It could be your video card. Is Saturn in retrograde?
  15. Same thing at the range. I am not sure what you are doing (mostly because I am the only one posting any images and wondering why I would even bother doing that as no one but me and Micheal seem to care but I digress in a run on sentence that is not really even a sentence since it is supposed to be short aside thus the parentheses). Is the behavior I am showing what you want? If so, I did not do anything fancy. No additional skinny cabs.
  16. Oops. I forgot to mention that my image was done in plan. I can not imagine doing this in layout.
  17. This is the behavior I am getting when I have the left side of that cabinet butting up against another cabinet. This is the end of a peninsula.
  18. One way, although everything fades out a bit, is to make a polyline over the entire room and add a solid color with transparency. (x7 only) This has 80% transparency.
  19. It sounds like a job for multiple copy.
  20. You can not do this automatically.
  21. 1. HERS testing kicks in if new construction or over 1000 s.f. of addition. 2. To get a set of plans to pass the building official the first go around you must find out who to sleep with.
  22. Did you add a new object with a stainless material?
  23. If you have built the framing for the wall, the framing will show when you cut the section.
