  1. Is there a way to achieve this with the Lintel tab in the DBX or is this going to be a custom solid?
  2. See above, DB was not trying to "hijack" the thread with his suggestion.
  3. Did you switch floors? Click you heels together 3 times? Mention the purchase of an E Bike and now you only see Specialized ads?
  4. There is no easy way to achieve that if you want the actual bricks modeled. If you make a solid cone and slice it to the approximate shape, you could apply a texture with a bump map to get the general look.
  5. I did this recently for a volume study. Just solids shaped and then a colored transparent material.
  6. Some good episodes of this podcast focus on HVAC https://buildshownetwork.com/contents/hvac-design
  7. Careful where you move your mouse
  8. sort of better? The line is a funky continuous line to avoid the gapping at the verticals. The line length of the muntin must pass the window stop and get in as far as the sash.
  9. I have never seen an RCP as a rendering or anything other than a vector view/plan view type of drawing. It seems like a misphrased request.
  10. The long answer is actually no also but more like a falling off a cliff: "Nooooooooooooo." Doppler affect optional.
  11. One piece at a time. Select a->b, then a/b->c, etc
  12. If you are not "on the books" for ADA compliance could mean that this work is unpermitted. I don't condone or encourage that approach but I do follow this simple rule gleaned from my friends ex husband (criminal defense attorney, aka "skum"). "If you are going to break the law, only break one law at a time". Therefore, build it to be able to pass the ADA compliance. Remodeling is expensive.
  13. Make the posts really, really small.
  14. I think they are getting the thin roof overhang profile but hiding the deeper structural beams/rafters. Either way, their work is outstanding.
  15. Northern California is a large area. Where are you working more specifically? I am in the Monterey area. Thanks Alan
  16. Place them outside the cabinet when you drop them into your scene. Then use the plan view and elevation view to position them.
  17. The instructions above call for the duplication of the arc line and then making a closed polyline object. To convert to a countertop, you need a closed polyline.
  18. For construction documents and other vector based prints I use 144 dpi with good results.
  19. I have not needed to do this before, but, if you create A as floor 2 does that mess with B as floor 1 and those messages that pop up about ceiling over this room bla bla?
  20. Also (in the future), in ALDO or the Layer Editor refine the search for Locked Layers to see what your best guess might be. My white whale is Ceiling Break Lines
  21. Having the lights on does not mean the camera will use them. That DBX I posted is from the camera that you are using. The default number of lights is lower than the 80 I am showing. If it is at the default, the lights in your kitchen may not be used in the render even though they are set to ON.
  22. What is this set to? You might only be using a small number of available interior lights.
  23. Select the object on the arc and then try this:
