  1. I located some Border Layouts of various sizes that you can begin with instead of building it from scratch.
  2. I have followed several threads that refer to toolbar issues. Just my 2 cents - I only use a single monitor and have only had one little issue a long, long time ago but I remember it was a real pain to get my custom toolbars back and have never had an issue since. Well just last week, I lost ALL toobars! Very strange and I speculate what caused it was that I uninstalled some little Windows utility plugin that I didn't care for. Well to quickly correct this issue, I simply renamed the CA Toolbars folder to Toolbars.old and then restored the Toolbars folder from my weekly backup and all toolbars are back.

  4. The ZIP panel itself is 7/16" thick and eliminates the need for building/house wrap.
  5. I think the ZIP system panels replace the OSB, both of which are 7/16" thick. I have used ZIP panels on homes but have not set it up in Chief. ZIP System® Wall Sheathing | Huber Engineered Woods (huberwood.com)

  9. Yes, with a plan footprint to move around, but there are many ways to do what you are wanting to do. Also, keep in mind that the plat and/or local codes or ordinances will dictate the actual setbacks. Please update your signature to indicate your Chief Architect version.

  11. I have my Dimensions: set to 8 pixels in appearances and haven't encountered what you are referring to when working with something small. For small work, I set the Dimension Line Specification to smaller number heights. CA version?
  12. I am very pleased with my TCL 43" 4 Series 4K TV (43S425) @ 3840x2160 as my main screen/monitor.
  13. See if this will work for you: - Remove the Number column in the schedules. - Window / Door Schedule Specification, Label, Uncheck Use Callout for Label.
  14. I am very pleased with this "4K TV" as my monitor.... TCL 43" 4 Series 4K TV (43S425) @ 3840x2160
  15. You can import plan views from another plan.
  16. I question that as well.... However, Check the scale of the printed PDF with a PDF viewer/editor such as Bluebeam REVU. If the scale is correct, then have the hard copy print with the proper paper size using "no scaling" or whatever the printer options are.
  17. On a windows PC, I right-click drag the corner to resize proportionally OR use the resize tool.
  18. Thanks Michael. Good to know. If I used CA more often, I'd move on up to X12 and X13. X11 meets all of my needs for now. I appreciate all the support from you folks!
  19. Hmm, what's the outcome on this?
  20. Maybe the OP is using CA X11? I am currently using CA X11 and get the same results as the OP. Where's your signature justin-c?
  21. Why not just open the most recent layout file? CA will launch automatically.
  22. That's just weird! There are two types of computer users, those who back up their data and those who wish they had.
