My suggestion to getting a meaningful answer is to post the plan file.

Try building the floor, wall and ceiling framing. Don't turn on the framing layers in the current view. I think it will build out correctly. Also try posting the plan file to this forum. Often someone will take a crack at fixing the problem and letting you know what went wrong

You can do that, and it results in the correct orientation so this would be a good solution. Thanks, I should have thought of that.

I agee, Snagit is not expensive, is easy to use, and you can do annotations that are clear and simple.

I can make the roof behave by manually editing roof base polyline, but in auto, strangely some overhangs are 12' 10". I don't understand why. Liberty House.zip

I must admit that I made a mistake. The contour lines do contain elevation data in the cad file, but these are not imported into CA in a meaningful way. I assumed that if you converted the line into a contour line in CA that it would use the 3d info. It doesn't. My appologies.

The contour lines, if exploded, all have elevation data. This additional comment to John's post is just for clarity on where elevation data can be accessed in this version of the survey.

I agree with Gene's comments. About your problem, is the layer attic wall turned on? It would also be helpful for you to post the plan file.

What aspect of the molding are you having problems with? There is a lot of opportunities for moldings in this picture that you posted. Perhaps you could be more specific?

Double click on a dimension line Click on define. At this point you can convert all the dimensions using this definition to some other units, or add a secondary format with different units And the result is this! Hopefully this fully answers your question.

When you are in the section view click on the save camera view to save the section for later use. or If you add this view to a layout, then the view is automatically saved
