Bryce, The main problem is simple; Chief was created for builders, Vector works was created for Architects. Very different types. I don't mean to disparage and start a war. I grew up in a contractors house then became an architect. Two similar but radically different worlds. Those of us that work on commercial projects and custom residences are usually frustrated with the short comings of chief.

We happen to use Sugar sync for our projects, it works well and updates automatically.

As Bill pointed out a pocket door was not the correct use for this situation Bills is more correct as to the real world

If you goo in the middle and use 7'-0 yu will find more doors a t a beter price cause that is sort of commercial std.

I did all my landscape plans in VCAD. Developed my own symbols and sprinkler info. But it was 2d only. Chief is way to cumbersome to do that.

After all these years stairs are not very efficient. maybe some day it will be important to the programers to clean all the items that don't work well.

Work-a-rounds are a pain. Everyone seems to be lestining but the programers at Chief.

WOW when I use VCAD I draw a line across the room and goo to "divide" and put in the number of segmaents. Of course this was in the 1984 version. It takes a while for Chief to mature. (wisea** Ron)

Joe, What version. Are you using win 10. Does your maching have a blueray, if so, does it play program disks. I hust go an Asus but the Blueray won't install programs Ron
