  1. Please look at the attached CAD block for a wall sconce on the left of the picture. The fixture size is 6x6x9. The block is much larger. I have opened the symbol and generated new block but nothing changes. I have also had problems altering other cad blocks for other situations. Doesn't seem to be a button for editing them anywhere I can find. I thought I had done this in the past. Any help appreciated.
  2. I have done it for a deck. Got the lights from 3D wharehouse and placed them manually. Been a few years'
  3. I'm with the obvious as well....
  4. To me it seems a lot narrower than what the eye sees. Probably because of peripheral vision.
  5. I remember that problem but I forget what the fix was. It drove me nuts. Maybe someone with a better memory can chime in.
  6. Jason - any chance of getting a copy of that Limestone ? tile texture?
  7. CJ - No problem. IT is a ramp with built in SEATING!
  8. Perry - I don't think the wall material region is in the shower video. At least the one I saw. I think that was made with X5. The wall material region works like a PS which I prefer for control. Scotts approach using a molding polyline can also work. Depends on the specifics of the situation.
  9. Closets just have to be big enough to hide the skeletons!
  10. Also, the way CA does shower enclosures is a problem because the tile stops at the inside corner fo the room when in reality the tile has to go to what would be the exterior face of a wall or knee wall so that the glass is against the tile. i.e. the tile runs past the glass.
  11. I just put a tall cabinet in one of my plans, increased width and made triple face and deleted the doors and I have shelves in all sections.
  12. Jonathan - it looks like the settings in Chief are totally different than in Thea. You have no sun coming in through the window, a polished floor versus a reflective one, higher ambient light etc. You may not be able to match Thea but I think it is possible to do better. Light leakage is a real problem though! ;o(
  13. Jonathan - have you tried to RT in CHief X6? I bet you could get pretty close results to what you have in Thea.
  14. Forget the cabinet molding and use a molding polyline for that section.
  15. Buzz, IF you increase the height of the ceiling to above the plate height you will get a sloped ceiling which flattens out at the desired height. I usually call this a modified cathedral ceiling. Is that what you are looking to do?
  16. One thing I have found that although 11x17 and arch B are the same size they do not give the same results. You may need to check that if that is the size you are using. Arch B works correctly. I don't think I had that problem in X5.
  17. You could put the light(s) in your template plan. Or put one light in a plan and save it as a symbol after you make the changes to the settings.
