Create a second floor and build a 48" high room at the front of the house. It doesn't matter how deep the room is. Designate the walls as indicated. Auto build roofs. This works because roofs don't build off Knee Walls. Knee Walls build up to the roof, whose geometry is determined by other criteria.

You MAY be able to do what you want by using the Material List where you can change the units and unit formatting.

I am on a mac. It seems to be that whatever control is checked in the Active Layer Control Options determines the width of the dbx so that all of that options controls display full width.

If you make a wall No Room Definition, you can drag it into the same location as another wall. If you delete the No Room Definition, the wall will replace the original wall. -
OK, I think I get it. You want it to be visible in a 3D vector view, but you want it to be horizontal, not vertical.

Chopsaw, I am lost! An Image IS visible in a 3d view. What am i missing?

Chopsaw, This should work. Place the image in plan view and open it's dbx. Check the location of the image file. Still in plan view, go Import Picture. I copy/pasted the path from above, but had more success when I searched for just the name of the image (FlameCA2.png). Paste the image into the plan. This is a quick one using an image file from the library.

You can also do this by stacking single layer wall definitions.

Probably quite a legitimate diagram. Easily done with a Cad Detail From View. Note that the dimension extension lines are not isometric.

I think I remember that in X12 the boolean operations would not work in 3D on poly solids. I think you had to convert them to Solids first. In X13, boolean operations work on poly solids. The other good thing about X13 is that the Fillet and Chamfer tools work on polysolids.

It is possible to break up a Cross Box to just cad lines or you can convert it to a range of other objects along the way. To break it into lines: Select the Cross Box. Convert To Polyline from the Edit toolbar. Select Polyline Solid. OK. Convert to Plain Polyline. Disconnect Selected Edge from the edit toolbar. You will lose the cross along the way though, so maybe not worth the exercise.

Larry, The diagonal line is the Wall Cap which is jumping up from the lower section of wall to the upper section. I am not sure why, but will continue to have a play and see if i can find out why it is happening - may be a bug?

And then you can edit the text directly in the library. Big improvement again.

No, I always joke about poorly designed tools that yield consistently inconsistent results and are a PITA to use! The terrain tool will only do what you tell it to do.

Looking for someone to redraw this plan in Chief

They definitely look like they are drawn in Chief. Can you get a copy of the originals? Just a heads up to be careful of any copyright issues. -
Also, probably better off not using a temporary point which is what the Input Point tool uses. You will loose it if you delete temporary points. Probably better to use a Point Marker. Alan, You can't move or relocate 0,0,0.

You need to tell the terrain what to do. Place an Elevation Line at 0" on the high side of the wall. Or, drag the Elevation Region so that its left hand edge is just on the high side of the wall. Place an Elevation Line at -12" at the low side of the wall. You can drag the top or bottom of the wall up or down to fine tune it.

Mysterious room divider, can not get rid of it...

General Wall Defaults>Automatic Walls>Connect Island Rooms. Probably best not to have island rooms though as Cief says they can cause problems with room definitions. The island room is actually the closet connected to the centre wall. You could make one of its walls a No Room Def wall and then delete the room divider. Or connect the closet with walls that form a path to the external with some invisible or visible walls. You can place openings in walls that form the path to external.
